Hey /g/,
I'm a college student that is thinking of looking for some freelancing work in my spare time to make some money and to trick out my resume. I've heard web-development mentioned a lot for this kind of work.

Any of you guys have experience with this? As a young student, I don't mind skimpy pay once it is not ridiculously cheap. Some other anons have mentioned off hand that they made a few thousand over the course of 3-5 months.

What languages have you used the most? Where to begin, where to look for work?

Post it all here, I'm sure there's more than just me wondering about this. Feel free to post your other part-time profit making activities like app-making, etc.

They may dominate it, but a great number of anons have reported some decent pay and opportunities regardless once your motivated.

Between a poo in the loo and a fine european male at the same price, they should pick the european male, r-right?

I just found my old rpi while moving and realised I haven't ever really done anything with it (like 99% of the people that own a rpi)

I thought about building a sonos like system from it now. Anyone has any better ideas?

add wifi module and some storage, install openelec and use Yatsee on android to use it as a jukebox.
Connect rPi with hdmi to get good sound.
>>
>>51715491
Does openelec run well on a first gen pi?
>>
>>51715549
It's really slow in my experience. Works fine on the 2B though.

The big top part is the spinfusor. The one to the right is the flux capacitor. Below if you can see the nanotube relay.
Not sure about the slot, but it looks like a holoreader.

I can see two torx screws, one near the middle and bottom left (round black thingys with a star in the middle). looks like a USB port and SD card slot too.

Hello /g/entoomen!
I'm trying to complete a build for my new workstation/gaymen rig. I'm a software developer so it has to be quick, have resources to run 3-4 VMs (testing environment - domain controller, SQL Server and some others) also my wife does graphics and UX design. I do casual gayming, mostly D3, WoW.

I would rather invest once on an overkill machine that will last more time and have some space for possible upgrades (maybe SLI).

What do you think about these specs:
>>CPU:
Intel i7 5960X
>>CPU Cooler:
Corsair H110i AIO WC
>>RAM:
HyperX Fury DDR4 32Gb (4 x 8Gb 2666MHz)
>>Mobo:
EVGA X99 Classified
>>Storage:
1) 256Gb Samsung SM951 M.2 (OS & shit)
2) 1Tb Samsung SSD 850 EVO (software and gayms)
3) 2Tb WD Black (other data that needs to be stored on NAS)
>>PSU:
Corsair HX1000i
>>Graphics:
Gigabyte 980Ti G1 Gayming (will be using an 1440p G-Sync IPS panel)

Didn't decide on case and peripherals. I don't want opinions on budget and costs. I'm only interested in performance. Maybe someone is rocking a similar build and wants to share his thoughts?

tbqh, all you need is a 5820k and save up that money for 64gb wich is actually more beneficial in vmware.

But if you came up to me, I'd convince you to go 5960x since I get extra commission for it.
>>

>But if you came up to me, I'd convince you to go 5960x since I get extra commission for it.

>commission for something he was going to buy anyway

quit making us hard working shills look like tards
>>
>>51715434
Thanks for the honesty! Where i live it world be faster for me to upgrade from 32Gb to 64Gb RAM than from 5820K to 5960X. That's why I've chosen to get a 5960X in the first place and then get a cheaper upgrade.

Will they make sex-bots a reality? Virtual reality waifus sure, but actual things that can replace 3D women? Will they allow it? Smart women out there are well aware of their threat and are already campaigning.

>They are yet to hit the shelves, but activists are already campaigning against the sale of so-called sex robots, which may be "harmful and contribute to inequalities in society."

8 years old amilo pi 2530.
It has a dedicated GPU that's not supported on linux since the 2.6 kernel.
And when plugged it's louder than some of the home servers I saw.

whenever i read someone complaining about "ancient dinosaur thinkpads that are slow as fuck" i smirk.
