Will replacing the thermal paste on this make it run better? It's constantly being throttled and running hot.

>BitTorrent’s advertising platform lists several statistics that reveal some interesting details on users of the uTorrent and Mainline clients.
>For example, the clients have roughly 170 million active users per month. The vast majority (92%) are male, with the prime demographic being educated and tech savvy 18-34 year-olds.
>The advertising network also shows some interesting stats on the number of ad impressions the two clients have available. BitTorrent Inc. currently supports two ad formats which each have an estimated 3,397,615,000 views per month, based on statistics from the last 30 days.
>That’s good for well over 100 million impressions per banner format per day, and over 200 million in total.
>While these numbers are certainly impressive, the revenue is relatively modest. BitTorrent sells its worldwide traffic for 7 cents per 1,000 views, which is one of the lowest tiers in the ad industry.
>That said, if all banner spots were to be sold, BitTorrent Inc. would make over $14,000 per day, which is still pretty decent. It’s also possible that there are better rates for certain kinds of ads that are sold outside the advertising network.
>In addition to banner advertising the uTorrent client also generates revenue through bundled software. BitTorrent Inc. doesn’t publish any figures but it’s known that these type of offers can reach $1 per install.
>For some users these revenue sources are cause for complaints. BitTorrent Inc. is aware of this critique and has recently announced that it is exploring other options, including direct financial support from users.

Hey guys, I know we get a lot of hate on here for Apple products but I think this is an okay exception. A family member "upgraded" to the new generation of iMac because their old one's motherboard broke. They were going to toss the whole thing but i salvaged a good amount of the componenets.
-2.5GHz Quad-Core i5 2400S Sandy Bridge
-WD Caviar Blue 500GB
-4GB Laptop DDR3
-Not sure which one but an AMD GPU
-Standard iMac Power Supply
What to do with this stuff? Should I sell on Ebay/Craigslist?(San Diego area anyone?) I think I could probably piece together a build with the CPU + HDD on the cheap. I could upgrade my main computer and use the old components to build a second comp. Any ideas guys?

Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are three ways to try GNU plus Linux, you can:
1) Install a GNU plus Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU plus Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU plus Linux (very recommended, for your freedom)
If you are serious about switching to GNU plus Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and avoid Windows dual booting for that period of time, or it's
likely you will start retreating back to windows instead of getting used to GNU plus Linux as your new home and working on
making it feel the way you want it.

Have been using i3 for a while now, but was wondering, is there any tiling wm that does more of a 'box fitting' rather just container-in-container. e.g. lets me easily put two half-width windows under three third-width windows?
I have no WM experience other than i3

Found out from one of her friends that my gf bought me a projector for my bday. Like a 480p 2100 lumen crock of shit.
Is there anything cool I can do with it to show I'm not a big prick? I already have huge 1080p TV's in all my rooms and very little space to use a projector anyway.
