Right now I'm using a shitty acer laptop and has been fine until now, but I would like to have a decent gaming pc but just for lol, so I need some advice for all the parts. If you're just gaming get an i5 and 2x4 ram instead. Looks good otherwise, though I didn't look terribly hard
If all you're doing is gaming get an i5. The other difference from the i5 to i7 is hyperthreading, and games don't really use that.
Get a different brand psu, and 1000 watts is way overkill. Get a decent seasonic or EVGA Supernova psu. In all honesty 600 watts is enough, get 800 or so if you still wanna be overkill for whatever reason.
Otherwise it's fine.

That's not how splitters work OP. You see the mini jack connector, it has two darkened lines because voltage is put on each line and creating a stereo sound signal which the splitter then make into two separate connectors.
Cables with two male connectors to one female stereo mini-jack connector exist, but what you are talking about is connecting two separate stereo outputs into one stereo output, which isn't possible. You would, however, be able to get mono from your TV and PC from the same time,...

Does industry really not care about a college degree for software devs, or is it just a meme?
The reason I ask is because I pulled a prank on our lab machines at my uni and am probably going to get kicked out. I've applied to transfer to other schools, but am just toying with the idea of dropping out of college altogether.
If you don't a degree you better have a really good portfolio
from experience, if you can do the job and answer the basic tier questions the hiring manager has for you, then you are solid. from private welding and fabrication shop..
