So this thing is basically a cpu pretending to be a gpu?
What the fuck were they thinking?
15 posts and 2 images submitted.

Sony pioneered high levels of parallel processing for consumer gaming devices, the PS2 aimed for the same thing, as does the PS4 now.

The Cell Broadband Engine has these units called SPUs which are capable of processing SIMD with fairly high throughput. Its a CPU that does a bit of what a GPU does, with a close connection to a dedicated GPU.
>>
>>51637124
Did you know that a GPU is a processing unit? Did you know that a CPU is a processing unit? Is it really surprising to learn that a CPU can do similar things to a GPU?
>>
>>51637124
They weren't, which is why no one used it.

>people may report emails and other personal info posted here to staff to get you banned.
>most of the invite offers here are people trolling you with false hope.

It isn't. There is no other kernel that is as flexible and comprehensive as Linux.

I don't think Linux was ever an usable OS, after all, it's just a kernel.

It's from haasn's preferences.
It's like adding taps from madvr to increase sharpen.

Tech illiterate here, /g/.

I wanted to upgrade my antiquated 2008 PC with more RAM, so I bought some generic Kingston RAM, but it doesn't work.

PC doesn't boot with the new RAM only, regardless which slot. W7 says I have 6GB RAM if I put everything together, and the PC does boot, but the RAM isn't working.

MOBO is Abit ip35-e

What do?

Hey /g/
I really need your help
So, I moved out to study. Found a plebian student house to rent, and have been here for 2 months.
The router is downstairs, on a room exactly below mine.
I have a wireless PCI adapter installed on my computer (TP-Link Model no. TL- WN851ND)
The signal is strong.
Still, internet keeps going down.
It happens randomly.
What is happening?
I keep connected to the internet, but I cant use it (pic related)
If I manually discconect and recconect again it starts working again, just to sooner or later (usually sooner) go down again.
Still, while this happens on the computer, I can still use the internet on my phone.
Any tips guys?
