How long until Microsoft/Google/Apple implement mandatory apps stores on desktop OSs?
Microsoft will never lock you to a store. There's just too much business software out there to even think of managing it.
Linux cucks are already utterly reliant on their repos, but since Linux only has like 3 working pieces of software, it's not like it matters.

Why do people still act like using Linux or OSX will offer them protection when it's filled with more holes than a block of Swiss cheese. There are forums online where you can get access to the latest exploits weeks or months before they are patched.

He should be using dmcrypt-LUKS for that kind of thing. It's Linux only, but if you are talking about stuff that dirty, it is the only option.
If you have data that sensitive, it should never be handled with proprietary software, ever, and dmcrypt is currently the most trusted encryption software out there.
This is the only technology board in the world where a large percentage of people 99% of the time not only don't want new technology and innovations, but actively campaign against them.
That's because technological advancements are no longer made to benefit people, but to marginalize those people and reduce their entire existence to nothing more than data points in a database to sort through.

By that point, it was pretty obvious he was a normie posing as a tech savvy guy. I just made him feel inadequate, by asking some basic questions that he couldn't answer about the components in his current PC and upcoming build, and went on for a bit about Bulldozer vs Sandy bridge in terms of IPC, and asked his thoughts on Zen. Needless to say, he got pretty quiet.
I would've called him out, but I figured this way, he'd be a little humbled and maybe go home and do some actual research, or maybe I could even take him under my wing and introduce him to the hobby.
Anyone else had encounters, such as this?
I have issues like this quite often around customers and even my coworkers but, I have realize it gets me absolutely no where to call people out.
It kinda reversed humbled me, if you will. Needless to say, I just play dumb to stuff now. It's better actually because then if someone actively asks me a question, its more satisfying to have it out of absolutely no where.
I avoid people and being personable that way as much as I can even though I'm in a customer service oriented job.
