So you think you're cool, eh?

One Line Python challenge: Write programs using only a single line of Python. No newlines or semicolons.

Challenges:

Baby mode: Loop print integers 1 to 100
Easy mode: Fizzbuzz
Medium mode: Arithmetic parser and calculator.
Math mode: Write a program that estimates the values of integrals.
Hell mode: Define a Polygon and Square class, create a square instance and call some methods on it, do some polygon collison tests, etc.

Now that Indians have completely overrun Redmond expect MSFT to be gutted within 10 years.

Microsoft is making massive profits every year. They've been making shitty decisions like gutting master-race IE in favor of shitty Edge but they still manage to get that dollar bill.

Why is phone network unlocking mystical information known only to phone store employees and gypsy market stall owners?

I've got a Lumia 630 I want to unlock, but the last time I tried this with a decade old dump-phone I was no more lucky. Even when you've waded through all the currynigger websites offering unlock codes, nothing works.

Maybe I'm fundamentally misunderstanding something; are they single-use codes generated on request or something? If so, how come the software that generates them has never been leaked? Or reverse engineered?

What gives?

>unlocking phones
murica problems

Here in yuropoor, we use sim cards and phones are just dumb shells with an antenna. Your sim card, provided by your phone company, contains data like your number and which network it should connect to.

It baffles me that america doesn't just do that too. Are your phones custom-branded by every goddamn network provider and locked in to only be able to connect to them? So your phone basically becomes more like a terminal to connect to their specific network only, and changing providers means losing your phone? Bwahahaha

I live in the UK, presumptuous fool.
But yes, that's pretty much how it works.

I just had a good chat online with an advisor from the company I purchased the phone from, and since it's PAYG and I've had it for more than 12 months I can get an unlock code for free. (I'll have to ring up and talk to Sanjit first, though.)

My question still stands, though, out of pure curiosity. According to Wikipedia the manufacturers will have software to generate the codes or will maintain a database of them precomputed, but I figured somebody would either leak shit or reverse engineer them. It seems like such a glaring target. I suppose you're fucked if most manufacturers are using one-way hashes, but still.

It doesn't matter faggots, it stopped to be about software anyway, botnet is in your processors. How do you explain yourselves now? No matter what OS,browser,... they all run two brands of processors and they have backdoor and botnets inside them. Lmao

The new radeon settings looks pretty good. Although I personally never really had issues with catalysts, the new sleek ui and organization impressed me quite a bit.

What's your opinion? Also for comparison, how's the nvidia control setting like?

Pls no fanboy rants, just want a good discussion on the merits of each software.

Its still not a complete product as it still uses cataclyst when you do the "additional settings" under display.

This is a new setting, I think AMD wants to implement a monitor hacking utility.

>Windows 7 craps itself
>reinstall it
>can't update, no matter what

After 11 days, I tried and everything and it simply doesn't work. Even XP updates just fine, but not 7. I already have a loonix partition but I need Windows, and I'm not using a shit kid OS like 8 or 8.1 or a shit spyware like 10.

I wanted to use my Win 7 Pro license, but I just can't, because this shit won't update and it bothers me, fucking Windows Update it was always crap.

Should I go back to Vista, or is it safe to grab one of those copies off Pirate Bay with all updates integrated? What's a trustworthy method for checking if there are any rootkits?
41 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Get Vista SP2 and you should be fine. That being said, Windows Update is also crap on Vista. Most security updates will work/install with no problem at all but some optional updates refuse to work.

At least you can just blindly mark all important updates without caring about telemetry. Vista is the easiest Windows to debotnet.

Run Steam through Wine.

It'll run anything that is compatible with DX9.

You won't be able to play Fallout 4 on a Mac or Linux for another year or two.

>>51504397

I wish there were an easier way to do this. Rebooting into windows just for games is a pain in the ass.

You will have fewer years of support.

That is all.

Last good looking iPhone imo.
>>
>>51504330

I still like the form factor. Sure its a smaller device, but it doesn't bulge out of the pocket and still takes decent photos.
>>
You have a chance that the newer iOS version that come out run laggy on your shit. This is no guarantee, of course, but we've seen it in the 4(S).

And yes, as >>51504330 notes, less support. To some extent, this overlaps with the poor performance.

there was this AI developed by google that could play video games, any news about it?
>>
>>51504306
I havent actually heard about that one.

Could it play a fixed set of games and or did it adapt to new games aswell?

Also did it look at least semi competent?

Also i mean if its just a fixed set of games that would not be all that hard to do.

what does /g/ think about 8 TB harddiscs. thinking about buying this for my highres movie archive.

also heard 10TB coming soon.

what do you guys think?

>>
It'll be fine.
Just don't use it for stuff you can't easily redownload.
Don't worry about waiting, all that matters is you get a good price/TB
Usually they're $50/TB, with the black Friday sales you should find some for $25/TB, or $200 for 8TB.
