Why do people still use Windows 10?

So turns out I found a feature in new versions of mpc-hc that I need, so I'm finally getting rid of this relic. What codec pack has replaced CCCP? KCP? Custom install? The only thing I needed was pitch corrected playback when increasing speed to watch all the lecture recordings I'm behind on.

It's the task scheduler's idle task for system maintenance; indexing files for search (shitty since Vista, much improved in 10), optimising .NET CLR assemblies, cleaning up Windows Update manifest folders that kind of shit.
It runs at Idle priority and is specifically told to only run when you're away from the machine, and stop when you're back.
I think you can even see it in the Task Scheduler?

I have nothing but hundreds of lines of random day to day notes involving tech, food, general life/entertainment info, and more random garbage in a txt file sitting on my desktop. Discussion on how you guys manage this kind of stuff?
