Why does Pic related's eco system so disgustingly overpriced.

The camera's i can see... Asking that much for a cinema camera especially given their feature set is beyond reasonable.

but

>overly modular
>SSD requires SSD Bay(Not sold with camera)
>Literally no way to write video out
>unless you have an IO extender module (Not sold with camera)

I mean they're fixing this in the new cameras, but....

>128GB SSD
>$850

>Battery support?
>Nothing under $500

>Handle
>$150

FOR WHAT FUCKING PURPOSE.

You need their SSD's because they got to be certified to handle the raw data througput of such a ridiculous amount of data.

Without any incentive to make things deliberately small, developers will naturally use as much space as possible. No doubt within a decade atom will reach 2.5gb.

This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that is required to make a fine watch.

The RX480 performs around the R9 290/390 or possibly 390X mark for less initial outlay and better power usage.

WHOOPEE FUCKING DO!

Basically AMD has no upgrade path for those on slightly older cards like my current R9 290. Unless I want to run the risk of Crossfire and possible microstutter.

The rumor is there will be a RX490 which will still not perform as well as a 1070 but will come in at around $299 compared to the 1070's $380 price tag.

Again not really a massive upgrade there either. It's all about price per watt instead of price performance ratio with AMD. AMD really has no answer to Nvidia's offerings in competing on performance alone which is complete shit. AMD is only appealing to those who cannot afford Nvidia. I will wait to see the actual benchmarks but in a few months I may be switching to team green if AMD can't shit out a decent card. I don't expect to see a dual chip 480 solution either.

Polaris is entry level and mid range. High performance GPUs are coming out at the end of the year.

>OP actually is this retarded and butthurt

It's pretty clear to anyone with a brain that the 480 is never going to beat a 1070 or even be around 980 levels. It's gonna have it's advantage in some DX12 games and maybe some certain resolutions and settings, but it is going to be overall worse.

As much as nvidia are the jews in this, you cannot just devil 980 performance for 200 bucks.

Welcome to /fglt/. We are always open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.

There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:

0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux

Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.

Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.

Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.
