what are you connecting and why?
are you charging your iphone, or just syncing?
why are you using a macbook, which has a tiny battery, to top off your smartphone? why not use a battery pack or something more appropriate?
why am i troubleshooting this for you?
why are you so helpless?
>>
It's your fault for buying a 1 port mac and not thinking of the consequences. I bet you next time they will innovate normal usb ports into the thing.

Can you download albums from spurtify to listen to offline?
>>
>>55214783
its pretty easy to stream music buddy, it doesnt take long to receive enough bytes in a stream to start playing it. the other sites just like to prefuffer a bit before it plays
>>
>>55214805
Yes, but you have to export them as playlists first.

Acer is the only brand you should be buying chromebooks from.

http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=ARCB5311T677

>2.1ghz quad core tegra 1
>13.3" full HD screen (1920x1080)
>4gb DDR3 ram
>dedicated kepler GPU
>32gb SSD

344$
includes "comfyview screen technology"
i have no idea what it is but it sounds comfy

acer also makes the CB3 and C720, both of which are /g/ approved and the C720 is even FOSS

Chromebook user here: don't get one. Yeah they do basic stuff like web browsing but that's it. The OS is a gimped version of android and the specs are fucking awful.

I'm now struggling to sell the hp chromebook I bought on ebay. I'm really disappointed, this thing was more hype than function.
>>
>>55214952
>gimped version of android
>can only do web browsing

someone doesnt actually own a chromebook

ChromeOS is its own form of linux distro, its more linux than android is, significantly at that, it use to be based on gentoo and parts of chromeOS today are still built on top of little bits of gentoo
its light as fuck, if you disable the desktop enviornment and browser the OS runs on about 60mb of ram, with the DE its still only about 250mb

its easy as shit to install linux on them, many have m.2 ports to install bigger SSD's in, some even have socketed i series processors and can be upgraded heavily

developer mode is a matter of pressing a few buttons and a clean wipe over about 3 minutes, leaving you with root access and the ability to do all sorts of neat shit

then again, some people just want shitposting machines, and chromebooks are good for that

OP, if you dont intend to do anything more than browse the web and watch videos, get the CB3, 170$ new, 2gb ram, n2840 celeron, etc

I am running a virtual machine with Windows 7 (64 bit). I am completely capable of running every other game on the battle.net client except for Overwatch.

After a google search, I found that the issue comes down to requiring DirectX 10.1 or higher", however, I have DirectX11 running.

I am using 2GB of VRAM, so it shouldn't be a problem at all.

My actual specs:

OS: Fedora 23
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.5.6-200.fc23.x86_64
CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 CPU @ 3.6GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 950
RAM: 23996MiB

Would anyone be able to help me out? The only reason I am actually duel-booting right now is so I can play Overwatch, which is why I am trying to run it in a virtual machine... because fuck Windows.

babby learning his first python here

This program executes and spits out the text of the file just fine.
But where does the "read()" come from here? I understand that "open" is a built-in python function, but I can't find anything about "read()" anywhere in the documentation

Open returns a file stream object. Read() is a method of that object
>>
>>55214461
read() is a method defined for file objects, which open() yields.

Fingerprinting thread a go go
https://browserprint.info/
http://panopticlick.eff.org/
Remember, kids, disabling JavaScript is cheating, since many sites (4chan) require JavaScript to work.

Some kind anon two threads before posted a link to a story that indicates Google is injecting fingerprint code into their CAPTCHAs.
That means you can't post on 4chan without being fingerprinted.
This means it's not paranoid to think Google knows about your shitposting habits.
https://archive.is/9K5gs

Daily reminder to do all your Google / Facebook / LinkedIn / botnet shit in a completely separate browser to your shitposting.
It's currently the ONLY way to truly defend against fingerprint tracking.
The Tor Browser Bundle is still susceptible to many fingerprinting attacks that can uncover your true OS and browser.
Spoofing your user-agent is counterproductive unless you use a different user-agent for every site, even if you rotate them every x HTTP requests.
