I recently bought a new computer and am currently waiting on the vega series of cards to come out before i put in money to buy something really nice. That being said, I sold my old comp so the price on it didn't plummet and I actually lost money. My question is I want to play games while I wait but I'm not sure of which card right now has the most lasting value. I can get the R7 370 4gb for 129 on amazon, but I was also thinking of an aftermarket 480 so it has more selling value when I get rid of it.
What should I do in this situation /g/?

Honestly now, what are my prospects? The school is accredited and has like a 95% employment rate and a great employer network, but they have a pretty big investment on promising me that I'll get a high paying job. All the other people I spoke with in the field vary.
I'm willing to move anywhere in the US. When I graduate, I'll be (supposedly) qualified to be a junior Java developer (but I'll also have exposure to a lot of other stuff, too). I've already finished the web design portion of the class (HTML / 5 / CSS / JS / Bootstrap) and pretty much rocked at it.
I began applying for jobs today for programmer / analyst positions and they all want a lot more experience than I have (which I expected). I just want my foot in the door and want to make a living wage.
What do you guys think? I really am willing to put in the long hours and hard work that it will take to be successful here. Did I waste my money going to boot camp?

Try to get someone to refer you. You said you work well with team, maybe you could get one of your teachers/mentors at the bootcamp to help you find an interview. Use your network. Also, you should ignore the qualifications on experience. Apply as if they didn't exist.

has to do with component binning.
Mil-spec components generally must pass a much more difficult test for their resistance to effect by high/low temperature, vibration, irradiation, etc.
HOWEVER, in reality you will never reach anywhere near these limits in your daily use, unless you live in a volcano or space station.
Basic component: good up to 200C
Mil-spec: good up to 250C
Mil-spec 4: good up to 350C
(or similar, the spec varies by what type of part is being binned)

I work part time in a computer store that sells parts, builds and installs systems and does repairs.
Additionaly we have to do telephone support, storage stuff and so on.
We are also basically expected to always be up to date about basically anything tech related.
Customers also expected us to know every laptop or screen or even smartphones in detail that was released in the last 5 years.
We get 8.50, we only work there because of the colleagues.

Worked part time for a little while in a repair place. I was mostly given a lot of older phones to work on so if I screwed up at all it wouldn't be a costly repair. My first iPhone 4s was a nightmare. I pulled one apart a few times because i thought the display cable had gone loose. But it turned out that the routing for the cable was very sharp and cut the cable.
But other than that, Samsung were generally pretty easy to repair. Its a pretty fun job, I could certainly see myself working there again full time.

16GB ram is not a meme when running more than a few applications at a time. Using linux in a desktop environment is cancer, nothing but trouble and it has no compatibility. Windows 10 is not a botnet, you all are just tin foil hat hipsters. Apple makes top of the line quality products. The build design is amazing and very clean. You just want to believe a shitty thinkpad is og because once again, you want to make your autistic selves stand out. In reality most of you if not all don't even know a programming language but your mommies think you are computer geniuses and now you believe it too. Java is an amazing and powerful language with insane compatibility. GNU is a hoby os.

I switched back to ubuntu because fonts looked like shit. Tried infinality, freeworld, and nothing worked.
Tried it on my school laptop. Wifi connection was slow as fuck. Tried installing new drivers, everything broke, switched back to windows 7. Some of my classmates had Ubuntu on the same laptop working just fine, so that's weird.
Might get a thinkpad for uni and maybe try Fedora again hoping it's more compatible on that hardware.
