Is there still a way to root this wonderful machine? I can't seem to find any reliable method that's still current. It's the T-Mobile LTE version. All the guides I find are either for the T999 normal version or they're out-of-date for my version. I'm too poor to upgrade.

Like I said, I can't find a reliable method for rooting. Someone told me all I had to do was flash TWRP and then Super su from TWRP, but to do that requires root, a Catch 22.

Is there somewhat of a consensus about the most efficient way to block ads? I noticed that AdBlocker alone still shows some ads, and I've seen people here say that using AdBlocker + NoScript is redundant, and that Ghostery is a botnet. What is the right way to block ads then? How do you block ads?

umatrix is optional. only use if you want more control than ublock advanced mode gives you.
A more efficient way is to modify your hosts file or run a dns server that blocks ad domains.
If you have an rpi, think about running a squid server or something.
Real men use uBlock Origin. UMatrix if you want autistic-level control.

Hey guys. Any of you know any sites to learn various types of coding languages? I really want to get into it I just don't know where to start. I know some really basic Java, but I am nowhere near perfection. Any suggestions?

java is a good language to learn, it's actually the best beginner language to start with because the IDE's hold your hand so much, Like if you fuck up and make a mistake the IDE's will not only tell you it's fucked but also offer solutions to fix it.

You should go learn Haskell.
Haskell is a pure functional language that makes it easy to avoid errors because it is based on solid abstractions rather than crap like Java. Since you haven't done much programming before, it will actually be easier to pick up, since your mind hasn't been poisoned by imperative and object-oriented programming.
It's easy to get a job in Haskell nowadays, because everyone is realizing that it is the best way to go.
