Go read into the forums of engines to use. They have communities that help each other out. I'd suggest either Unity or Unreal. The Crysis engine is also good, but I'm high as fuck right now and can't remember the name of it. If you go Unity then don't buy those premade shit they sail. It doesn't help your learning buying premade assets that a bunch of assholes use. Look at the engine's websites, look at the forums, watch YouTube videos (there are guides people made), and pick one that you feel would be good for you.

Never posted here before but just need an answer to a simple question, as I've Googled it and gotten mixed answers.
Basically I'm upgrading to a 1080p monitor with 144Hz capabilities as I've been stuck using an old 1080p HDTV for a long time and want an upgrade.
Basically I don't know what cable I need, most people are saying DVI-D is needed, which is fine, but my Xbox One came with a HDMI 2.0 cable, would that be able to run 1080p at 144Hz or should I just go with the DVI? And could I expect a ~£300 ASUS monitor to come with said cable or should I just buy one separately?
