I don't usually post on here and I know this sort of thread is probably posted all the time but I'd looking or some advice on upgrading my current build. Used for gaming and developing.
OS: Windows 7
CPU: AMD FX-4300 quad core 3.8GHz
RAM: 8GB on 2 x 4GB sticks
GPU: GTX 960
PSU: Corsair 550w
Medium size tower
2TB HDD
I also have some spare parts that I haven't put in yet:
1 AMD Bulldozer 8 core
1 GTX 660
4 4GB RAM sticks
1 Corsair 1000w
That cheap corsair liquid CPU cooler (can't remember the name)
Loads of fans and spare cables
I also have a spare motherboard but I don't know what it's called or what the one I have now is. I have a nice external sound card so I have more room on the motherboard.
I'm looking to spend about £700 ($1000). The benchmark I'm aiming for is running new-gen games (Just Cause 3, Fallout 4 etc) at a consistent 60 fps.
Thanks in advance, let me know if there's more information you need and how I would find it out.

Should have bought gentle typhoons for the CPU heatsink. Also, G. Skill is a better choice for RAM imo. Other than that it looks good.

Big case for a small motherboard, disconnected optical, and a few cable routes I would have done differently.

I believed that network security is a meme after a certain degree. i believed that i've nothing to fear, as long as i have strong password and i don't leave it around. I secured my home with the same things everybody use, a WPA2, a strong WPA2 with no words related to me or my family. Today i launched a network scan via windows, i should have found my 3 computer and my nas, but instead the screen was full of connected computers. i immediately changed my password, but i thought it was an error in the network scan in windows. however just in case i started checking my network, i disabled the WPS in every router that entered my house and a dictonary brute attack was out of question. i launched a wifi scan and i found that this fucker (pic related) was the cause. No wps button, no wps in the settings menu but it had a wps and it was "configured". this was the flaw in my network and my l33t h4x0r neighbor gained access through it to 450GB of private files on my nas.
This is the first and the last thing i buy from TPLINK

friend has these and they are pretty good but im sure you can find better if you go for an actual audio company not corsair

The only thing that might be convenient about a 420 is the CD / DVD drive. X220 has none. But it's lighter. Clear trade off. I'd opt for a t420 but I already have an x220 so I just have a USB disc drive.

I dont know the z5 but with my z3 i nust use manual settings for the photos otherwise with auto i get shitty blurry,abysmal results
