HI guys, I'm looking for a decent portable drawing medium, particularly a tablet.
I really need to rely on the portability part, so I'm emphasizing on the weight more. Thus the wacom tablet series and anything heavier than surface pro 3/4 are not in my concern.
Currently I'm laying my eyes on ASUS Zen Pad S 8.0, along with a TP 1024 stylus. but also wonder if there's any better alternatives.

Also these Wacom PCs have 256 levels pressure sensitivity interpolated to 1024 levels. Still more than enough for most drawings, and good drawing software have their own infinite level interpolation.

So... I have installed the FreeBSD 10.2. Installed the nvidia drivers, xorg, enabled the module in kernel, but the graphic performance is disastrous.
The fonts on Firefox is disgusting. Screenfetch don't work. The htop does not mark the memory consumption properly.
I installed Compton, but I can not make it work.

Alright /g/, so what's the real lifespan of magnetic tape? Every source I find on the internet seems to bounce anywhere between 10-30 years. However, I've got tapes of all types (VHS, cassettes, 8-tracks) that are far older. Some of the 8-tracks are even upwards of 50 years old and still sound okay if the mechanisms are still working or repaired. Before you bring up climate and storage, many of my tapes were left out in an unprotected garage for ten years and still sound/look great.
So what's up with that?

Also, that figure is for newer tape formulations, the tape formulations of the 60's/70's usually are more durable but had worse properties
There's also other problems related to the base in which the magnetic forumla is impregnated, some defective tape formulations would become dust by themselves, even if stored right

I just came home from Fry's Electronics with an i5 6600k processor. When I checked the box, there was no warranty or instructions, just the CPU. THE CPU itself looks like it might have had thermal paste on it in the past.
