"Efficient" is a very tricky word. For someone switching you may go with Cinnamon so you can feel at home. Is very comfy.

Ive got a laptop with an i5200u. I want to upgrade the graphics by unplugging the wireless card and plugging in a gtx 960 with an adapter. How bad is my i5 going to bottle neck the gpu? And how much will the performance suffer overall since the adapter converts the pcie to pcie mini?
Depending on what sort of adapter you get, you can be limited from anywhere between x1 to x4 speeds.

Because source code can only be compiled by some scripts from 90s. Nobody knows how they work so nobody knows what exactly to leak.
No one person or machine has the code. It's in pieces to prevent this from happening.
Microsoft source codes for Windows are probably kept on proprietary drives that only Microsoft has, then kept in vaults.

Lags to shit for no reason when displaying large amounts of unicode characters. Broken delete key. Uses special snowflake termcap which needs to be installed on all remote systems. No run-time configuration. Needs patches applied to get scrollback. Does not support highlighting text without click+drag.
