Lets talk about GNU/Linux and not Linux as a sole.

Windows is extremenly integrated, it feels like a single program or OS.
While Linux is consisted of millions of tiny or huge parts that make an OS.
Linux is considered faster because it runs less shit.
Linux with Xfce is gonna be faster than Windows.
Linux with GNOME or KDE is NOT gonna be faster than Windows on a slow PC.

First of all I would argue that Windows didn't really "win". NIX is widely adopted today for virtually all aspects of computational devices, from toasters and mobile phones to supercomputers and network infrastructure.
Secondly, Microsoft basically crowbarred Windows into the personal computer market in the early 90s by forcing computer vendors to deliver with Windows preinstalled and being the forerunner in DRM issues.

My connection keeps dying every 10 minutes or so sometimes can last up to 1 hour and die and I have to reset the router every fucking time for the internet to comeback, I'm getting a good connection full speed when it works, no lag and good ping.
Could it be the router is just dying or what else could be.
