I'm about to buy 20 of these bad boys in the hopes of setting up a linux cluster. Do I need to have a hard drive in each of them or can I somehow run one machine as a host and still access the processing power of the other machines while they are networked in?
If I have to buy 20 drives this won't be worth it to me. I'd like to find a way around it, if possible.
I want to make this 20 core 2 duo cluster because my life is pretty empty atm and this will distract me from all those lovely suicidal thoughts :^)

Let's say i have an idea to speed up dramatically 3d rendering.
Even if I a noob at coding I managed to make a crappy opengl prototype that goes 30% faster with my implementation (but doesn't always work)
I need more experience in c++ and opengl to do a proper benchmark, i am pretty sure it can be improved further, expecially with 4k resolution it could go 150% faster, should I take a computer science degree and retry 3 years later?
I want to make clear that this method makes the rendering less accurate, but the human eye can't see the difference.
I don't think is possible to patent an idea, what can i do? Can I sell an idea? I will not open source or tell my idea it unless i can profit from it. Sorry.

I got that ISO and unsuccessfully tried to make a USB flash drive into a boot device using this tool from Microsoft:

Since that didn't work, I'll try burning the ISO to a DVD.
Then, hopefully, if that works, after it asks me for a product key during installation and I give it the one I found digging in the registry of my current (pirated) Windows 7 installation, it'll accept.

How does /g/ like my new desktop. It's a touchscreen and shit and i'm going to use it for drawings and whathaveyou. I built the desk myself from scrap wood and scrapped some shitty old touchscreen all-in-one for the screen.
I do believe I have made a true desktop computer.
Oh and I was thinking about sealing around the edges of the touchscreen with some silicone. Do you see any way this could fuck up the screen.

Hey guys, /g/ convinced me to order an SSD and I got it!
Now, I DO know how to install windows on it and make it the boot drive. What i DONT know is: should I remove my windows 7 installation off my current HDD afterward (to save space once it becomes my main storage drive)? Is that even possible? Is that the norm to do once my new windows install is on my SSD?
Also, I figure it's better to give my SSD a fresh install instead of cloning my current HDD installation, yeah?
