What's the best build for a nostalgia PC, /g/?
Planning on building a 2000/XP desktop (probably 2000) for playing shit like old-school Half-Life/CS, AvP, Deus Ex, UT99, etc.

I never had one myself, but apparently it's voodoo 3dfx or bust. I'd go for a pentium 4 or a high end pentium 3. I'd try for at least 2gb ram, even if it's for nostalgia, you still want the os to run smoothly.

Hello, /g/.
I'm trying to make my own Windows Recovery USB to repair a damaged NTFS file system running Windows 7.
I have a second (working) machine running Windows 8. I've formatted the USB and have copied most of the boot files from the Windows 8 folders but I can't seem to access the Recovery folder, even after taking ownership on the admin account and giving myself Full Control.
What am I doing wrong?
tl;dr I essentially just need to run chkdsk from a usb to fix the NTFS partition on a corrupted HDD. Is there a simpler way?

There's some weird issue with amd's hardware cursor implementation.
They don't include enough ROPs to completely slaughter nvidia, but they make up for it in general purpose compute performance.
