Hey /g/, since /prog/ is dead and you are my last bastion before I head to /r/programming I thought I'd ask you a question. TL;DR is at the bottom.
I recently bought a Raspberry Pi Model 1B from my friend, and have been playing around with it on its emulation aspect. I've been playing around with SNES Emulators and I find that they run so terribly on the Pi, even with an overclock. So, I thought of this:
Program an emulator specifically for the Raspberry Pi. Write it up in C/C++, compile and optimize the resulting ARM assembly. What I am wondering, however, is if the resulting program would be fast enough, given that one would also have to emulate the many chips included into the cartridge rom files.
TL;DR I want to make an optimized emulator for the SNES, would it be faster than say SNES9X? Is there anyone on /g/ with experience programming emulators? Am I just wasting my time?

Well, considering that I got my Model B running at 800Mhz and that the SNES ran at approximately 4MHz the emulation couldn't possibly take up more than 600MHz, right?
I mean, I never programmed an emulator before but basically it is just reverse engineering / finding a doc on the ISA and use that instruction as how a modern computer would, right?
or just buy the raspberry pi 2 model b for $50 and be happy

it used to be so simple, but now there are hundreds of tricks advertisers use to bolster their pages, and dozens of ways google makes your life unhelpful
Google has a relatively transparent sponsored results section. If you're paying any attention at all, you can see which results are directly sponsored and which are not. They're usually at the top.
If you're asking for a search engine that doesn't respond to search engine optimization, then you're surprisingly fluent in the vocabulary of this stuff given how naive and frankly stupid you are.

googles sponsorship goes much deeper than it advertises
I already block adds, and I block sponsored content as well with a custom web filter
but there is often content that google conveniently forgets to index with it's spiders, and many, many pages that are sponsored without this being advertised
for instance, popular pages are boosted; which means if I type "fecebook" I find "facebook.com"
but it enrages me that this means if I actually want to find something called "fecebook" the sear engines functionality quickly breaks down
even if I type "fecebook -facebook" I find my desired page buried by poorly indexed, mistypes or irelevant content
and that's when I know exactly what I'm looking for, lord help me if I actually want to search for something

My games such as GTAV and Arma3 always freeze for some reason, will I be able to play them all on High/Ultra with this setup?
I am also on a budget of 600$-700$ so if you of anything that is better/Sort of same preformance for cheaper I would be glad to hear.
I also am looking for a really big case to fit everything in, I am not great with wire Management so extra space in the back would be great.

if you're only having videogame problems, save your money and just upgrade the GPU.
and what do you mean, freeze? like they just lock up and crash? That could be any of the components on your system. Most likely the gpu, so just start there, since you should probably upgrade it anyway.
The easy rule to PC upgrading is:
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Your cpu is likely performing just fine, so theres really no reason to replace it right now. Same with your psu and case.

Has anyone else had issues with Windows 10 installation stalling at 32%? I've tried literally everything I know to get this damn thing to follow through but it always stops here. I've uninstalled framework, updated my drivers, updated windows 7, unplugged all USB devices, disabled all anti virus software, and run the update through 2 different routes with no luck. If they really want me to feel like windows 10 isn't a buggy mess maybe they should be leaving this first fucking impression. I've tried countless more minute tweaks but waiting near an hour between installs to see if what I changed that time worked ends up wasting an enormous amount of time. What did you guys do?
