What's your opinion on Elon Musk?

It's cute that you think people even take your retarded opinions seriously.
>>52239035
Musk is basically on corporate welfare. He's not that great.
Are fancy office/desk/gaymen chairs worth the money, /g/? I've been using a goddamn wooden kitchen chair for about ten years now and find it perfectly acceptable, but I'm still considering spending $150 on something that looks like it was ripped out of a car. It has to be better... right?

Did anyone even buy one of these things? How can someone justify spending that much on a watch?
>how can someone justify spending that much on a watch
people on >>>/g/wt regularly spend that much or more on mechanical watches
you're just poor
>>52238547
You're seriously going to tell me that poorfags on here have $10,000 to spend on a fucking watch?
>>52238583
the apple watch ranges from 500-1000 dollars
that's fancy watch territory, certainly not unheard of for fine watches
nobody is buying the 10,000 dollar apple watch, you moron
With dx12 games coming out soon, as well as the assumption vulkan will offer a similar feature set, would an a8 or a10 APU offer better value and performance than an i3 in future titles?
>>52238439
I never got why you'd want to use dual-GPU. Why not just buy a CPU if you're going to get a GPU?
>>52238637
But with directx 12 it doesn't matter.
It takes advantage of any gpu in your system, including the igpu.
A8 7600 has almost same dx12 cpu performance as an i3 4170, but a much stronger igpu, while also being 40 aud cheaper.
>>52238439
Huh. This makes me want to look more into my laptop. The model I bought has an option for discrete graphics + A8, or just A8. I went for just the A8 because it was on sale for $199 (regularly $399) but the version with discrete graphics was $449.
Time to find out what graphics cards will work and how to install them. I'm pretty sure there's just a free pci-e slot.
Guys I need a new laptop, currently have been using a macbook pro, like 2013 or some shit, hate it for what I do, sysadmin of 99% windows env.
Im looking for standard well supported hardware that can run both windows and linux, i prefer to stay in linux, might not run windows at all.
anyone have any recommendations? Looking at something around the same cost as a cheaper macbook pro.
thanks /g/ents
>>52238297
op here again might add that work will be paying for this so it's not my money, it will be my workhorse though.
looking at thinkpad w541 or whatever is current or a system76. my boss might bitch if he finds out the system67 doesn't come with windows, but the hardware seems ace.

Well I guess fun is over, my Antergos can't boot up after a simple update (which amounts to 40+mb everyday). I've been using it for 2 weeks, worked perfectly and I really liked it, but I can't waste time on something that can shit itself out of the blue.
The error screen is so fucking long that I should probably just reinstall, although sometimes it does boot with some random errors (rarely), I don't get it. My laptop and HDD are new, also I dual boot windows in case this happens.
I'm thinking on just going back to ubuntu even though I...

The tl;dr is yes.
>>52238059
I had that happen on Manjaro (another Arch based distro). Was too lazy to fix it so I installed Debian.
Funnily enough I did that on the day Ian died...
>>52238059
Antergos is literally Archlinux
Why would you expect stability from Arch is beyond me
Only really learned programming for tasks (sometimes self-chosen) and it was fun and stuff, but I never properly learned it. I know quite a bit about all those concepts through many failed attempts. But I never was able to produce something. So /g/, what's a good future-proof programming language to learn?
>>52237944
if you want something decently easy to learn that is going to be used for a good time into the future, I'd recommend C++. The newer standards really have cleaned up the language, and it sure as hell isn't going away anytime soon.
python
All the ones that are most popular right now. Java, Python, C, C++, C# are the big five for general purpose at the moment.
Javascipt for web bullshit if you hate yourself, PHP for more web bullshit if you hate yourself and want to die, Ruby if you like feeling superior to others for using a slow, shitty language, one of the functional languages if you never want a job.

Many years old Lumia phone is dying, and for being a loyal cuck, my providor (three uk) is giving me a deal on flagships.
Are the top choices at the moment the S6 (and its variants), the Z5 (or z3, compact variants), and the Nexuses?
Much obliged, good sirs and madams.
>>52237594
Go with z5, or z5 compact for better shitposting single handed
Or moto x pure/style if you're in the UK
>>52237628
Oh that's me, I am UK - based! Would you say it's a better choice than either of those?

If you wanna work at cisco's
Worth it if you work in an IT position where you touch networks.
How much it helps you will be dependent on
1. if you want to learn routers/switches, firewalls or whatever
2. HR for the jobs you want believes its important
>>52237609
>wanna work at cisco's
If you wanna work at Cisco, you gotta pass a CCIE written exam withing six months (at least it used to be like that).
