Hey team, how do I deal with a million tabs being open? Is there a firefox extension to help with 'power users' like me? I saw suspend tab, trying that now, any other suggestions?

please kill yourself
i get triggered the fuck out when i see someone more than 4 tabs open
>>
>>52225820

I use tab groups at least, so it sorts them.

I just never got used to bookmarks so I leave the tabs open, they are organised.

whats that horizontal slot for?
>>
>>52225675
probably for a slot loading optical drive if one chooses to install one. Without any proportional reference I don't know if the width accommodate that or what though. It could just be yet another way for air to get in/out.

What's the OS market share again?
>>
>>52225206
not OP, but OS X is the only desktop OS gaining market share, and every major update that Microsoft shits out seems to be taking them further off the throne.

MS shot themselves in the foot with Windows 8, and they're shooting themselves in the head with Windows 10.
>>
>>52225193
Why did you take a screenshot of whatever that is instead of saving it as an image?

Couldn't you just put it in some image editing program?

You're on OSX, it's meant to be good at that.

Why is Windows 10 so dark, flat and depressing? Is Microsoft trying to win over the edgy Linux crowd? Windows 7's Aero feels like a breath of fresh air in comparison.
63 posts and 15 images submitted.
>>
That's what I thought too.

W10 strikes me as a try-hard minimalist look, i.e. basic Linux user desktop.

It's sad that Microsoft took the meme.
>>
If windows 10 get aero or something similar ill jump to it. At the moment it is too depressing even with the windows xp background

Who here still uses "old" technology?

I'm still using a Galaxy S3 running CM12 Nightly, and my desktop and laptop are still on Sandy Bridge i7's. The only things worth upgrading in the past 5 years have been graphics cards and SSDs,

Most of my tech is 4-5 years old and still faster than most new electronics in the median price range. Why do people bother upgrading all the time?

I've just bought a nexus 5x because my s3 isn't recognised by my computer anymore. When I try to Odin things it won't get detected and I need to flash stock ROM to network unlock the phone. It's a great phone though

ordinary hard drives (a primary in my machine, and a backup). Really important stuff gets burned to discs.

>tape
I recognize that the incremental cost per terabyte is lower, but I can't afford a thousand-dollar tape drive. If I was storing a lot more data and spending a lot more money than I am, it'd be nice, but I can't get over the initial-cost hurdle.

Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.

There are three ways to try Linux, you can:

1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not recommended)

If you are serious about switching to Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and avoid Windows dual booting for that period of time, or it's
likely you will start retreating back to windows instead of getting used to GNU/Linux as your new home and working on
making it feel the way you want it.

>Recommended for beginners:
-Ubuntu MATE
-Debian (For Broadcom devices, use an ISO that includes non-free firmware)
-openSUSE
-LinuxMint (a.k.a Ubuntu LTS + Cinnamon)
