I have a lot of DVDs I'd like to save to a hard drive. What's the best program to burn them?
You want to burn a DVD to your harddrive? Try gasoline.
I tried a program called ImgBurn, kept getting errors trying to create an iso, plus I think it has adware.
HandBrake

Why do people think iphones are so much better than everything else?? I need some good arguments.
They look good. That's about it.
>>52215073
If you're the sort of person who is impressed by big numbers, which you're not entirely sure about, and imagine that they represent some sort of measure of value for money or performance experience then the iPhone won't be on your list of prospective phones.
If price is your only determinant it definitely won't.
But, if you prefer something that just does the job beautifully and stays out of your hair it'll be up there.

Hi Matthew.
>>52213675
Yes. You left your name. Town, and post code.
Otherwise, no. So long as you actually intend to use that RAM to it's purpose, and not just gaymen and shitpost on /g/.
I know, I know... building it myself is better in every way. But it's been a decade since I last looked at hardware to build it myself and, due to health problems and thanks to my parents' generosity, it simply doesn't make sense to build my next PC like I did my last one.
Flashing lights and custom graphics need not apply.
So, let's say under $4,000, what are some decent pre-built gaming PCs? Or places I could go to read trustworthy reviews? Back in the day, Alienware was overpriced but is that still the case?
How about gaming laptops? I've heard they are more practical than they used to be.

>Under $4,000
Jesus Christ, anon

No Laptops, No Alienware, No brand name gaming computers.
Hello!
Any decent, from zero to hero Unity 5 2d game programming tutorials? Any links/torrents? I've seen many on youtubes/websites, but I wish to find something that even someone new could follow. It's kind of hard for me to just type some script and wonder how the programmer got the idea of writing it anywyy from.
>>52213311
Take a look at the Unity website for their tutorials. Quite thorough.

I finally got out of my rut and started doing webdev again. Grunt is super useful. I really feel like I can stand on my own two feet soon.

We believe in you, don't let society hold you down like that, 2016 is the time to rise from desparity.
Good luck anon, we're with you in spirit. Being a NEET is seriously like an addiction to doing nothing productive.

Going to be 5 years soon that I haven't found steady work, I think I'm on application #1237
I never realized how much copyright infringement and thieving is going on at the internet
as a owner of a new website where i publish my work, people are already stealing my stuff and uploading to imgur and reddit without crediting me
fucking hell, are these the same kinds of people who says "fuck you xD" to hollywood?
what if i broke into your house, scanned all your drawings and pictures and uploaded without writing any source? You reddit millenial people disgust me
its more like you left it on a sidewalk with a note "don't touch", than in a house.

You'd get arrested for posting child porn: I have a picture of me as a little kid playing naked in the backyard on my living room wall.

No OS will ever look this good
>feels good to be part of the no virus Unix master race and still have godtier audio and video driver support
>godtier audio and video driver
Shitty Nvidia drivers, no support for Quadro workstations, no AMD support.
The good audio meme hasn't been true since the 90's when Windows improved the audio quality and support.
>>52213385
>Windows still cant play low latency audio with 2 audio sources lol
Nvidia web drivers work breddy guud on my hackintosh
U mad?

Hey /g/, let's talk modern c++.
I used to be a smug c programmer who was convinced that c++ was just a bunch of bloat. However, after looking at the new features of the language, I've determined that opinion was wrong. Here's why:
* move semantics
* type inference
* lvalues/rvalues
* lambda expressions, and the control given to the programmer to determine how to capture the lambda's parent scope
* polymorphic STL is unbelievably extendable and robust
* robust and modern libraries that have been developed by the likes of Facebook...

C++ 11 + STL is very nice and very modern but with that syntaxis the code sometimes become hard to read, for desktop apps on linux or windows i prefer c++ over C# or Java because is harder to reverse engineer the native code , i dont have the same helps or libraries ,still a good option though
>>52213194
I basically share most John Blows opinions on this topic, though I use modern features when they actually make sense.

What have you made and published? Anything?

There are three ways to try Linux, you can:
1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not recommended)
If you are serious about switching to Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and...

Why is manjaro a shit. All I hear is security issues with unstable packages, but I really don't care about untested packags

Trying to find an IDE to USB adaptor that uses USB rather than than a wall plug for power.
Is this possible? Does IDE use too much power to even be usable on USB 3.0?
