im trying to take an HD from a laptop out but the screws are too tight. wat do.. i don't want to corrode the star either :\
>>52203828
Lefty loosey, dumbfuck.
>>52203828
Find a good fitting screwdriver, press into the screw and then try to turn slowly.
Don't half-assedly place the screwdriver into the screw and try to turn, the more pressure you put on the wings, the more chance you have to strip the screw and fuck yourself over.
Try putting a trace (when I say "trace" I mean as little as possible) amount of lubricant around the screws, which should help to loosen them up.

>corrode the star
It's called "stripping"

Is it just me, or are there more people on /g/ using Linux than before?
I remember there were only a couple Linux threads back in 2007-2010, and they were mostly trolling. Now it seems like almost half of /g/ uses it.

My gut says it may have something to do with Win 8 or Win 10.
Or perhaps they finally finished installing Gentoo

What do you guys think? Its only a TN panel but the IPS ones from Acer and Asus are around $800.
Think its worth it for $599? I really want a Gsync monitor but fuck, they are all so expensive.
>>52203015
I got my refurbished rog pg278q from eBay for only 550 dollars. 1440p gsync goodness is affordable

Did Skype just update or am I going crazy? Messages now no longer appear in the order they are received. They will now organize themselves however the fuck they want. Who the fuck thought this was a good idea? Why? Why? Why?
>inb4 people using Skype in 2016
Yes. This happens to me as well. Reverted to the old school style one and now everything works great.

I'm still annoyed by the way that opening a conversation doesn't immediately focus on that conversations input box.
If I want to search I would fucking click in the Search box.
Why do you guys use a software that is known to record your audio and video without your consent?
yo so like is it possible for someone to hack into my phone and see everything on my screen if we've only been texting each other?

Any of you use a VPN service? I'm trying to get one and i'm genuinely curious as to what users think about em.
I have a PIA subscription, don't really use it that often. It's fine.

The point is that you don't need $5000000000 headphones to hear the difference.
I swapped out my studio headphones for my $150 "fashion piece" headphones.

I've asked this question several times in the /sqt/ but I didn't get a response so I'm going to attention whore out here and just face the consequences associated with such an action.
My early 2015 macbook pro takes approximately an inordinately long 90 seconds to cold boot to the desktop, but will boot in the normal 8-9 seconds when doing a soft restart.
If I turn the computer off after it has been running for a while and do a hard restart, it will still boot slowly. What is wrong? Is my SSD dying? Wat do.
>>52202088
Macbook pros don't come with ssds, the macbook pro retinas do.
>>52202243
That's what I meant, sorry.
