>tfw you buy a 2tb Seagate at bestbuy because its a cheap price for a 7200rpm drive
>tfw everyone on new egg says it dies 1 month after warranty expires
Should I just take it back and get a WD?
The best HDD is the one where you know exactly when it'll fail.
>>52190455
He ain't wrong
Just keep it until it dies and backup data which you dont want to lose, which is what you should do with every drive.
Speaking of seagates, older barracuda 7200.14 drives parked their heads aggressively and you could hear it very often. I recently got new 1TB Seagate manufactured just few months ago and looks like they have changed it, this drive doesnt park it's head aggressively, load/unload cycle value is same as startups for the drive.
Got my mSATA SSD, /g/. Now how do I clone my Windows 10 on to it?
>>52190402
You've changed your hardware.
Windows 10 won't be genuine anymore and you have to buy a new copy.
That's what you get for "upgrading" to the botnet.

Still pretty comfy though.

I have a Galaxy Tab S that I use for when I'm too lazy to use my PC. I also use it heavily for manga and porn. I also just bought a Chuwi Hi8 (pic related) in hopes that Windows tablets are decently good at playing VNs.
Yo /g/, does anyone else here double-choke when using ferrite beads? I've always used a single bead but wondering what your thoughts are.
ITT: general ferrite bead discussion
Nah bro, a single bead wrapped multiple times will be just as good. My download speeds are about 5% faster with this on the end

Nadella says windows phone is "unsustainable" and it lost half it's marketshare.

It doesn't matter though because the cloud or something and phones aren't even that important if you think about it.
Man, those Windows Phone devs must be on fucking suicide watch right now.
Windows Phone 12 will fix it

Also takes 3 menus to add a contact.

Hey /g/ im a computer science student and have noticed most of my lecturers use linux distro, programming aside is it worth downloading linux for day to day use? Windows 10 seems like an easy choice due to compatability but i'd like to hear why linux users choose their OS
>>52189424
>im a computer science student

>>52189424
Try it out in VM or from a live CD/DVD/USB first. Most of us using GNU/Linux here run it on a day to day basis, but that didn't happen overnight. Once you found a distribution that works for you, consider installing it in a dual boot configuration.
You can always remove it, or even remove Windows if you feel really comfortable with your distribution. You'll find that GNU/Linux offers more freedom and a developer friendlier environment than the proprietary alternatives. Good luck.

hi /g/uys
So my VPN sub almost will expire, I've been using PIA for more than a year without issues, its fast reliable and can torrent without problem, but the fact that it is US based, and it is tooo perfect ( never heard about court issue with PIA and it defending their users,) make the situation more fishy to be honest.
So I was looking for alternative, especially non- US based ones, here is my list :
- perfect privacy ( too expensive)
- hide.me ( expensive, have some issue with openvpn protocol, but clear ToS)
-Privatoria ( had tor as additional...

I tried Privatoria, is very cheap, but speeds are awful. You can try it since they offer a trial
>>52190092
How about thier devices support ( linux, android) is it native with dns/ip6 leak protection and is tier IP range considered spam as PIA ?
