My family is full of old poorfags who keep asking me how to download movies. Except the thought of teaching them how to torrent safely make me NOPE. So my idea is setting up a Video Server, Is there any good free solution to make a personal Youtube/Netflix? I'm looking for something robust and searchable that will index and tag movies like with Year made, Actors, Genre, etc.

I have a Nice old Core 2 Quad 4GB ram shitbox laying around and a few 2TB HDDs coming soon. My end goal is to somehow automate Movie Downloading using Sickbeard/CouchPotato

TL;DR Is there any free solution to make something like Yify.TV?

Being born a male is a literal handicap in this day and age. If I was a female with boobs I could earn money without doing shit. I mean fucking $2,000 for just sitting there.

Such is life.

How much is the NSA paying him to completely fuck up Linux?

Lennart Poettering, creator of systemd.

NSA doesnt want to put a backdoor in Linux. that is obviously way too obvious and enemies would get it. And theres no point when they already have ring -2 execution level access to most CPUs on the planet. Its in NSAs best interest to keep Linux as a secure platform for domestic cybersecurity purposes

Is it only in Korean? I might actually try it out to see if it helps to improve my Korean.
Is there any problems or vulnerabilities with using it?
>>
>>52179613
I would suggest a VM.

Watch the 32C3 vid first. I think there is also a presentation from 31C3.

As far as I know it is only in Korean

Interesting stuff
>>
>>52179651
Cant find the presentation from 31C3

Will watch the one from 2015 though. Cheers

So, I've gone ahead and got nova prime, I know I'm miles behind...and I like it, but I cannot get used to pic related. To me it's hideous, is there any way to change the way this looks ?

Its literally in the nova settings, under "App and Widget Drawers"

Just poke around and change shit

What about it dont you like? The vert scrolling or the white card background?

If you want you can even make it look like Holo (Pre lollipop) with a few tweaks.

So pic related happened to my 5 year old Acer Travelmate 5744. Is it fucked, or is it a simple cable/lcd remount? This is the first time I've dealt with Acer laptops, so have no idea.

So what is something a 'tech expert' can do that will instantly make you think less of them?

Also, he never could build my site for me. What I wanted was 'impossible'. So I started devouring tutorials online and it turns out it was really simple... you just had to know the basics of php.

But Dreamweaver was convenient as hell, in the sense that it lets you have code, a preview and whatever browsers you have installed side to side. I think your problem stems from ignorance and not having used it at all. You can design a website with text only in dreamweaver, just like you would in a text editor.

In recent years, both hardware and software companies have gone full retard with their product naming schemes. Calling the third Xbox the "Xbox One", skipping Windows 9 and going straight to 10, dropping the numbering for games all together (e.g., Theif, Need for Speed, Simcity, etc.

With this in mind, I predict Nvidia will *not* call their Pascal GPUs the 1000 series (1080, 1070, 1060, etc.) Instead it will be the "1 series", with a stronger emphases on the "GeForce" part of the name. Thus, the 980 equivalent will be called, "Geforce GTX 8", the 970 equivalent will be, "GeForce GTX 7", etc. The next Titan could be either the "GTX 0 Titan" or "GTX 10 Titan", but I suspect the latter.

There is also the possibility that Nvidia will go to the NEXT STEP of autism, and actually spell out model names, i.e., GeForce GTX Eight, Geforce GTX Seven, GTX Ten Titan, etc.

Nah, they were just too impractical to be honest. Physical keyboards make you type slower and cause more thumb strain. In addition the battery capacity had to be sacrificed for the slide out keyboard thing.

You don't need arch, you could do that on any distro

will I see a significant difference if I upgrade from a five-year-old 23" 1080p IPS monitor to a modern 27" 1440p IPS?

I'm looking at one of those Dell Ultrasharps for like $700 AUD.

Why is Slackware so shit? I installed it and literally nothing worked.
>setup hanged on LILO install, had to boot from the disc and do it manually
>netconfig didn't work, had to do it manually
>X would start, had to configure it manually
>FUCKING REBOOT (yes, the command) wouldn't work, had to configure it manually

Seriously, is the distro just a big config file fetishist meme?

How was any of that my fault you troglodyte? In fact, I fixed literally every problem I was presented with, I just wasn't happy with the time it took me to do so. Maybe you have time to play around with a toy distribution, but some of us have work to do.

But by all means, continue to blame me. Heaven forbid there be a problem with your precious meme distribution.

Thoughts on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3?
Upgrading from a HTC One M7 with signal problems, and looking for a cheap phone with good performance and aesthetics.

got a 5 start 'editors choice' rating from Android Authority and they don't seem to be biased. Also that 2ghz processor sounds awesome and MiUI is meant to be good too.
>>
>>52178240
Yeah, I haven't heard many bad things about the phone, apart from the fact that Xiaomi probably won't be upgrading it to Android 6.0 - which doesn't seem like too much of a big deal. Also, I've always wanted to put a MiUI based ROM on my handsets.
>>
I'm holding out for the Mi5
The rapid release of the Redmi Note 3 from the Redmi Note 2 concerns me.
