Who here /gtx770/?.
Every 9xx card is a meme and people who "upgraded" to a 970, 980, or even 980ti will look like total plebs when the next series of cards come out.
>>54230430
Alot of my friends got the 770 when it was released. They're mostly still pleased with them, though they too have noticed and suffered the abandonment of Kepler.
Most of the upgraded to 970's.

It means the world wants good semi smart workers, not geniuses that will end up becoming your competitor in 5 years
>>54244083
Corporations grow large and prefer to rely on bureaucratic selection than on personal accessing. It's natural.

this, you need to be JUST smart enough to do your task, and nothing more

And my question
The Intel atom N2600 is listed as being 64 bit on intels specs sheet, but apparently some manufactures stop it from running 64bit and only run 32-bit. Im about to install an os on it and im wondering 1) how can i check / overcome this limitation and 2)would it actually have an impact on the system since my ram is lower than 4gb?
Ive heard some people say 32-bit would run faster but i find it to be a dubious claim
How do I stop open VPN from raping my phone battery life? The "set ping restart" is currently set to 120. Will changing it to 3600 make it not draw as much power? I want the connection to be always on though and I prioritize that over battery life.
Also s2 when
Anyone can tell what type of cable this is? It doesn't fit anywhere on the motherboard. It branches from USB3.0 front header cable. It has 9 holes. On the cable it says 'high speed usb 3.0 glan cable' but when googling that nothing like it comes up.
Is e10s useable yet? Did they fix pages turning black/corrupt pages in private mode?

Does anybody actually use Android Pay or Apple Pay? I've tried to use it and it's just such a fucking hassle that it's a gimmick.
>live in United States
>Apple Pay limits to eight cards - I can't add all my credit and debit cards
>even when the register has the separate reader or the wireless logo on screen it usually won't pick up.
>picking a card other than my default (for best cashback) is cumbersome with both Apple & Android...

>EIGHT debit cards
Holy shit americucks
>>54236985
I would use it, I have nfc in my nexus phone, but I require to add all my card data to my google acc.
I would not change anything at all because google already has my gps data, but I am yet too tinfoil to do that.
Maybe they will make their own bank or paypayl or sth
>>54237008
I have two debit cards and eight credit cards anon. In the US the overwhelming majority of credit cards don't have an annual fee and offer different benefits and cashback on specific purchases.
Evil old thread: >>54231666
What are you working on, /g/? Have you implemented Enormous Memory Savings?
First for C++ is superior to C.
Actual thread >>54236901
Anyone have experience with GPU programming on EC2 instances? I installed tensorflow onto one but the second I try to utilize the GPU it freezes and the process needs to be killed.
Is there just a super long wait time for the GPUs or what?
What do you like to drink while programming? The office keg (for those of you in the startup crowd)? Your own stash?
I'll start: I like Soju. It's sweet enough that I can take shots of it, and I like Korean food too.

A dime-a-dozen KPOP Idol that's gotten eye lid surgery so she can look more white
Beer. I've thinking about getting a bottle of Glenfiddich though. A bit more refined.
Water or Tea.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcoholic_beverage#Short-term_effects
>Drinking enough to cause a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.03%-0.12% typically causes an overall improvement in mood and possible euphoria, increased self-confidence and sociability, decreased anxiety, a flushed, red appearance in the face and impaired judgment and fine muscle coordination.
Why would I want this while programming?
I'm an Apple user but there's no way to defend this shit, even $0.10 chink cables are better than this utter shit.
At least it didn't fry your iShit like those chink type C cables can.
>>54229064
Applefag here - whoever designed these cables should be shot, and the corpse fired.
And this is jobs-era shit. No excuse.
That looks like you took an axe to it, not to defend Apple but it's not like it was a spontaneous failure, right?

Is there any popular website, like a news portal or something, which has a 100% width of its content, no matter the size. I want to know if it can work. The problem is basically how to organize so much content when you have so much space. Idk, I'm constantly thinking about doing that with my site, but I'm currently sticking with 1170px max-width.
So has anyone toyed with PHP-PM?
Seems to just be designers and frontend developers in these threads
Are there any frontend frameworks that aren't just cancerous thin layers over jQuery?
I feel like I'm gonna have to just roll my own shit with React at this point.
Alright goys, convince me to switch to zsh
go!
I am a /g/ poster, and I am telling you not to switch to zsh.
>>54220886

Other than it will spoil me and I will find bash disgusting

Should I go with a different distro? Maybe mint?
>>54238978
Every OS is insecure, it only matters in degrees of insecurity. tl;dr just do it, faggot. Common sense 2016 should protect you in almost all cases.
if you havent made yourself a target for extremely skilled hackers i wouldn't fall for the security flaws meme
