New to /ptg/? Have an enquiry? Consult the wiki before asking redundant questions
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Private_trackers
Or update it yourself if you have a problem with it. Then check Google. If you can't find an adequate answer,...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

This is the worst OP so far >~>
Who not ready to upgrade still?
I7 870 @4.2ghz still going strong, have yet to experience cpu bottlenecking framerates below 60fps in any game I play.
Have a friend with an i5 2400 too, he's satisfied with current performance too.
i7 3770 here. Really happy with it, no reason to upgrade. Even has good virtualization support, so when I do upgrade it'll go straight into a VM host.
>>54234756
i7 930 here. Run it at 3.6 GHz. I really *want* to upgrade, but there's no way I can justify buying a new system.
>>54234927
Op here, I was like that last year, but after a while I just realised to be content with what I have instead of wasting my money.
It's still a really good processor considering its age. I should hope it's faster than an i5 4460 since it's at 4.2ghz
Is there a good and fast IDE for website development?
I'm using atom right now but it's a complete joke.

I'm wondering too, i started webdev 4 months ago and i'm using atom.
I dont understand why it's hated but it suits me ok for the moment.
Will i become a bit more efficient if i switch to something else entirely?

ok loonix fags,
now what excuse do you have?
windows 10 = free
windows 10 now has linux built-in
all the functionality and programs you could ever want... and yet you still gentoo? WTF?!
>>54231419
can't stick an xbox one disc in a windows 10 driven system and play that game

>>54231419
but Windows 10 still has a bunch of shit that I *don't* want, like telemetry and that awful fucking interface. With Linux you can take out the shit you don't like, or just never install it in the first place. With Windows you don't have a choice, your OS does what MS wants it to.
What controller do you use /g/?

Can I run it on 2gb ram lenovo shitbook?
I like it but I heard Unity is very resource heavy so I stick to xubuntu for now.
