What kind of lights do you have, anon? Are they the phone controlled LED lights you can put into lamps? Because I've been thinking about getting a few of those myself.

Nice desk and nice star...but what is it with chicks/traps on 4chan and constantly having to show off their feet? You never see any straight guys taking a picture of something they own and randomly inserting their feet into the picture.

Anyway, haven't posted my setup in a while and did some minor updates. R8?

>muh bleeding edge packages!! when you can just install directly from the upstream source in any distro

It's not the worst distro, but there's nothing it offers that makes it worth using over any other distros and it has the worst fucking user base.

Not sure what private trackers are all about?

The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the highest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.

Check out the wiki and update it yourself if you want more instead of complaining like a fucking faggot. https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Private_trackers

I need a laptop for college. Is this one good? http://www.amazon.com/PC-NP9870-17-3-Inch-i7-6700-Windows/dp/B0189H5PVE/ref=sr_1_22?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1461612997&sr=1-22&keywords=gaming+laptop&refinements=p_36%3A2421891011

I record PC gameplay because I'm a massive faggot.

I've had the best luck with Fraps, and then OBS. But these two still have their issues. Fraps doesn't encode so it's file sizes are massive, and it takes a lot of CPU power. OBS works on far fewer games than Fraps for me. So I'm wondering if there's a hardware alternative. Console games are great because you can just use a Hauppauge, which works on 100% of the games, zero performance hits (because you're not running the game on your PC), great quality and good file sizes. Could I use an El Gato by plugging my video card into it via hdmi instead of my monitor first? Computer GPU>El Gato>Monitor all via hdmi?

To answer your question, yes. But if I'm not mistaken, I thought the PS4 could record gameplay and the Xbone had something in the works to compete.
>>
>>54224051
I said I'm not recording consoles. I'm recording PC.
>>
>>54223905
You're still decoding video from the capture card. Unless you're using a separate streaming PC, there's literally no benefit.

Have you tried OBS Studio? When run as administrator, I haven't found anything it can't capture yet, and you can tune it for performance in a handful of different ways.
