Have you seen this?
Have you heard about this?

>NVIDIA’s next-gen Pascal GP104 has once
>again been leaked but this time we are looking
>at the full fat version which will be featured on
>the fastest GeForce graphics card that will be
>available to consumers in the coming months.
>The latest Pascal GP104 GPUs will be built
>on TSMC’s industry leading 16nm FinFET
>process which will allow NVIDIA to drastically
>increase the transistor count of their GPUs
>while retaining a small and efficient die
>package.

IRC: #/tpg/ on irc.rizon.net

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
----
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™

Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", lightweight
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

Someone has been able to modify the embedded controller of the X230 to properly accept the X220 keyboard and get all of the keys working.

Does anyone feel burnt out? I haven't even gotten my career started, but I'm 6 years into education, finally have my portfolio, and now I just want to go to sleep then never wake up.

Someone please motivate me to start applying for jobs and not bail on interviews.

You can install Linux on some of them. And unless you flash a custom BIOS it whines at you and forces you to hit a key combination on boot to proceed. Not seeing the point when a laptop with secureboot disabled does the same thing without Google's bullshit.
>>
>>54211974
On top of that, you have to deal with the ugly-ass Chrome logo permanently branded onto the lid of the laptop. Looks ugly as fuck.

What the fuck is this, /g/?

http://www.google.com/search?q=deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com&num=50

Look at some of the results:
http://removevirusvideo.com/
http://www.keepbrowsersafe.com/step-step-guide-remove-deploy-static-akamaitechnologies-com
http://wikipost.org/topic/Pf9oCaccovWstQyfbDscDtZAdE6MAZpd/deploy-static-akamaitechnologies-com.html

It looks like a ranking attack. These sites seem to have literally no purpose other than to advertise for SpyHunter, which itself seems entirely shady. Also look at the Akamai Technologies Wikipedia article. It seems like complete bullshit with random citations, but nobody noticed because who has the time to check all that shit?

>akamaitechnologies.com
It doesn't even resolve to an IP address. It looks like that domain is exclusively for reverse lookup, so everything that says it's a CDN is blatantly lies.
>>
This is surreal. https://developer.akamai.com/api It lists off a bunch of services but nowhere does it actually say what any of them do or how to operate them. Looking at the code it's just a config system that explains literally nothing about what any of the config data would actually mean. I can't see how this would come into existence at all. It's clear they don't actually have any servers for any of this.
>>
This is a hell of a lot of content for something that ostensibly doesn't exist. What's going on /g/?

ITT: memes that trigger people when you point out that they fell for them.

I'll start by getting the more shitposty ones out of the way
> Blind GPU/CPU/OEM brand loyalty
> Using BSD/Hurd for casual day to day use
If you use literally anything else it's subjective, but come on.
>Using windows server outside of office/small business networks
>Using BSD outside of routers/heavily networked/secure applications
>Using windows for cross platform development
> Using rpis in babby tier diy where a propeller/microcontroller/chink fpga would suffice
> Eschewing nonfree standards and bitching about functionality
> proposing bugfixes with no functional knowledge of a project
> referring to soldering and basic EE stuff as hacking
> Using scrypt memecoins outside of daytrading and pump-n-dumps
> Believing the tech/games press
> Politicizing STEM
> Using OSX professionally outside of content creation/art
> Hating indians when you have no marketable skills that people who literally shit in the street can't do
> Buying premium cables/superpremium audio merch
> Referring to basic pentest knowledge as hacking
> Buying AAA game ports for your linux box

I will not buy this shit. And the situation gets worse, because the online sellers of other labels blocked me for asking too many questions...
