What stops me from buying a bunch of wireless WIFI extenders and placing them between my residence and a free public WIFI source, such as McDonald's, thus giving me infinite free internet?

The same thing that stops McDonald's or other free public WIFI source from filtering out any connection making obvious long term use, ie. nothing.

nothing apart from shit ass ping

I have a 1TB seagate back up slim.On my Mac I downloaded Arch Linux and click and dragged it into a partition I created On the Seagate. The ISO shows in the Partition but the SEagate will not show in "Start up Disk". (Don't have to enter Bios on macs to boot from a different source). Are these things even Bootable? I even converted the ISO to a DMG so that it will be compatible with the Mac file system.

You don't use bios on a mac, but the bootloader on the drive must be efi in order to boot on the mac.
>>
>>54399702
I know a don't use Bios on a Mac. Did you not read my post? I stated this so assholes wouldn't respond saying "Macs don't have a Bios or Boot from the Bios". Are these drives bootable?
>>
... You copied the ISO to the USB HDD and expected it to be bootable like that?
Jesus fucking Christ, how did you even find this board if you're that retarded?

Are these worth the money for case fans? I need a few of these to replace some aging noisy fans in my case.

You get what you pay for. Noctua and Nidec/Scythe Gentle Typhoons (also marketed as EK Vardar) are the best airflow/noise but at a price. But I see Fractal Design fans going on eBay for pretty cheap NIB

How does /g/ feel about Manjaro?
Is it worth installing?
Honestly hate Windows and have no time to install Arch Linux, I feel like this is a great alternative.
Let me know personal experiences with it and some tips.
Thx.

Great beginner friendly distro
Just werks out of the box and triggers Arch cucks because it "doesn't follow the arch way" or whatever
>>
>>54399279
just use Antergos, its literally arch with a graphical installer where you can choose software and DE, same repositories, same everything.
its literally arch after installing.

Hey /g/ Newly PC owner here!

I think my question is appropriate for this forum if not, I apologize!

I had some questions but first here are my specs:
GPU: GeForce GTX 970
CPU: Inter(R) Core (TM) i7-4790k CPU @ 4.00GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Current Resolution: 1920x 1080, 60Hz
Driver Version: 365.10
OS: Microsoft Windows 10

My monitor is a ASUS VH238

Now for some reason I have been having resolution issues with games and example I can use is this:
according to various websites and my graphic card experience panel I can run games like mgsV on High everything, but I can only do this if I put the Resolution way down from my understanding I thought my monitor and specs were good enough to run this game at high? I'm lost any help is appreciated thank you!

OP if your still here, just put resolution at preferred resolution, then edit setting to that.

Sure mods that's fine delete the desktop threads they're killing this board, not all the tech support/build me a PC/shilling/blatant troll threads
doing a fine job, hope the pay (lol) is worth it.

Oh yeah and leave up homescreen threads too that's fine, it's not like they're the exact same thing or anything.

It's funny how they keep homescreen threads up when they're literally mobile versions of desktop threads

Run linux inside kvm under virtualbox ontop of vmware.
Oh, don't forget to virtualize every service under different container so you'll run over 1000 lxc services.

It only gets harder when you're older because you'll probably have a job or kids or something.

If you're old you have to act like a kid again
>>
>>54399127
yeah if you're over 18 years old just give up now because you'll never be to get good, as with anything in life.

If you didn't start at 8 years old and practiced for 10 hours a day you might as well just not even attempt it and just kill yourself
