I have old netbook. Don't have it now in front of me now but I guess it has the following specification at best: 1,6Ghz cpu and 1-2 GB of ram. What distribution and what software should I install on it in order to watch youtube on external monitor without video hanging/being 'jumpy'?

Welcome to /fglt/. We are always open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.

There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:

0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux

Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.

Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.

Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.

IRC connection details:
Server: chat.freenode.net:6667 (no SSL, 6697 for SSL) - Channel: #flt
If you don't have an IRC client (which you should), go to https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/flt to use IRC on a web client.

Visit the Friendly GNU/Linux Thread/Website:

/g/entlemen, the main problem with linux is that the community is divided as hell. Today we'll decide what distro to promote and make popular in order to make it more mainstream and get more support etc.
Let's show that /g/ can work together and come to an agreement!
I choose Fedora.

Why do monitors try to produce black light?

Wouldn't it be easier and better looking to turn the pixels off in the area where black color should be produced?

ay, how do i put a force on the x axis please ? rb2d.AddForce (new Vector2 (7, jumpForce), ForceMode2D.Impulse);

As most people on the internet, I have an interest in the dark web. I have Tor and I've explored the deep web a bit but I've only used Hidden Wiki to find sites and don't have any connections to anyone who uses it (I'm also too much of a pussy to go out and search for it myself as of fear of getting tracked). So, for those of you who do use the deep web, what's the worst thing you've seen? Now I'm not talking about drug sites, weapon purchases or child and gore porn, I know all that shit exists, I'm talking about red rooms, live dolls, suicide shows and more. What's the one thing that you've personally witnessed that has fucked you up? And if you haven't witnessed anything horrible on the dark web, do you personally know anyone that has?
