Have you changed anything in the BIOS?
>>
Change power setting states. Set lowest cpu state to 5% and also check bios.

But yeah that's normal. It shouldn't go past 80c on aida/prime stress test.

Should* Yay for spelling errors.

Tired of my dead-end job that i got straight out of highschool. What certifications are worth getting these days? Im more aiming towards small time computer repair (like a mom & pop shop) for experience, but Im open for anything if I can get a certification without going to school.

Bump-o

If you can't find out what certs are worthwhile and which are dead-end via the greatest research tool known to mankind, maybe the tech field isn't for you. Scratch that. The tech field definitely isn't for you.

The entire field is basically about research. Applying the knowledge that you researched. If you're too lazy to use one of the multitude of search engines that exist to search something like "worthwhile IT certs 2016" then you aren't wanted.

You will be the pajeet (literally or metaphorically) that people hate working with. You will be the retard that asks questions to co-workers that you could've just googled. You will be the guy that fucks up a customers computer or a clients software/website and cost the business money. You are not worth hiring. Become a plumber instead.

So I bought a Raspberry Pi 3b. I want to start programming. I took some courses on programming in high school and shit like that. Pls no bully.

What languages are popular these days? Pls no meme languages. Is C# still viable?

Is it a good idea to install something like Windows 10 IoT and use it for C#?

Please correct me if i'm being a retard.

>>
>>55096112
Windows 10 IoT Core is a special light version of it that is built for Visual Studio programming
>>
Why do people think you need a pi to program?

Is Ruby a good replacement for C++?

Like, lets say I wan't to make a gaymen engine from scratch. Nice, relatively powerful, lightweight, dynamic engine rendering 2D/3D graphics on multiple OS platforms.

Would Ruby be able to get the job done properly, or will I have to go through hoops in order to do it?

Is a hammer a good replacement for a saw?
>>
>>55095975
Ruby is slow as fuck in comparison to C++. Also the OpenGL bindings for it were kind of abandoned years ago.

Theoretically nothing is stopping you, but I really wouldn't recommend it.
>>
>>55095975
Ruby is slow. It's not multiplatform. Fuck, it barely supports windows. You can check Crystal Lang, which is ruby-like language, but for 3d games there is nothing better than c/c++.

What are some good areas of tech expertise if I want to be able to work and travel? Like contract work?
I'm not really sure where to start,

Should I learn html5, java, c++, frontend shit, backend shit or a bit of all?

Anyone have experience doing a job that lets them travel and work their own hours?

All I want is my TTYs.

Can I install the unity and

apt-get purge *unity*

apt-get autoremove

or do I still get leftover garbage?

I tried the network install and I got issues.
I installed only the core but even after hand-loading the kernel in the Grub's command line initrmfs said it was missing something and it's crippled.

So basically I'm a fucking idiot. I made some changes to my computer (Windows 8.1) that made everything fuck up. I did a system reset that was supposed to save all my important files, and now everything except my documents is fucking gone. All my programs and games are simply gone. What do I do now?

I fucking suck at computers as you can probably tell. I mean completely incompetent.

Is there some way to restore my programs or restore my entire computer to the way it was?

As long as you didn't zero your hard drive or write any new data, you should be able to get it back somehow. Not sure how since I've never been in this situation, but I'm pretty sure not all hope is lost. Good luck anon

Re-download, if you have saved games/files try testdisk
