Sure it is, if you're a lazy fuck, not interested in having a system that only does specifically what you want it to do.

Come here to discuss since the other guy's thread failed.

I currently have an LG L50 Sporty and it's getting a bit rusty as of late, takes a while to open/close apps and it's overall getting very lazy.
Due to some happenings I got ahold of a Xperia LT30, and comparing the specs it doesn't seem all that better, if at all. I was told it had some issues registering the SIM card and it sporadically stopped to register it completely, rebooting itself when it happens.
Also, the thing was imported from Burgerland so it has a shitton of at&t bloat I have no use for, so I don't know if making a bloatless Android install would be a good idea. I'd have to learn to do it too, since I've never done an OS install on a phone at all.
Would you say it's worth it to make the change? I want to be sure before going for it since I have a lot of games, saves, files, images and whatnot on my old one that aren't really impossible to move but I'm almost to lazy to consider it without being 100% positive.

Thoughts on the HTC One A9?

I'm a light user and mostly use my phone for Group Me, Texting and Social Media shit. Due for an upgrade and I really don't want a Galaxy S7 or the LG G5.

Currently rocking a HTC One M8, but the battery has become kinda shit.

I want to get a second device to fiddle with. Work has me on a iPhone 6s but I miss android.

What's the best bang for my buck that has an unlocked bootloader or can be unlocked? I want to screw around with ROMs.

Would be nice if it could actually be used comparably to my iPhone but I'm not super picky.

Around $200 or less would be preferred.

I think it's a poor idea to spend a thousand dollars or more on a portable computer. That display sure is nice, though; I wish I had a resolution that high on my desktop.

No speccy thread on my /g/?

>A10-7850k
>80-90% CPU utilization on 1080p youtube

u wot m8

I'm using a Phenom II and get under 10% CPU usage playing 1080p/60fps videos on Youtube. Even Chrome and its shitty forced VP9 only takes it up to ~35%.
>>
>>54042825
Well I also had ~3.5TB of content seeding in utorrent which took up a base ~10-20% of my CPU use.

But yeah, ~10 tabs of chrome open + 1080p60fps youtube would bring that thing to a crawl and would even cause stuttering on the youtube if I were to launch a program or do something else while it was playing.
>>
>>54042850
I dunno, I find that very hard to believe. A stock Phenom II X4 965 is worse than a 7850K in every way and I've noticed literally no difference in desktop use from the 4790K I had before (which I sold in preparation for Broadwell-E, so I'm using this Phenom II as a holdover).

Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on eBay, AliExpress, Gearbest and similar sites.

Microsoft is suing the US government over the right to tell its users when federal agencies want access to private data.

It says keeping access requests secret is against the US constitution, which states that individuals should be made aware if the government searches or seizes their property.

Microsoft said 5,624 requests for data were made in the past 18 months, and almost half came with a court order forcing the company to keep the demand secret.

"People do not give up their rights when they move their private information from physical storage to the cloud," Microsoft said in the lawsuit, according to the Reuters news agency.

Microsoft added that it felt the government "exploited the transition to cloud computing as a means of expanding its power to conduct secret investigations".

The US Department of Justice has not yet commented.
