There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:
0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux
Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.

Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.

My iPhone 5 (bought on release date, so it's about 3.5 years old) started to shit itself when it turned three. Exchanged the lightning port, then the battery and a few weeks ago the camera. At least it's pretty fucking easy to repair, unlike some other phones.

Bought a 6700k when I had a perfectly good i7 920.

But here's my main concerns: Can it act as a daily driver for my needs? i.e Browsing on chrome, sheets and word on Libre, pdf reader, casual watching of movies ? Also does it support USB 3G modems? Cause I got no wifi or Ethernet.
