Who here /computestick/? A complete computer that's smaller than a cell phone, seems pretty cool. A core m3 would basically be like an i3 in a cheap laptop

Went to a theme park with my family yesterday. There was a ride I was not allowed on since the weight limit was 100kg.
Felt bad, man. Felt so, SO bad. Going to the gym now.
Hey /g/.
I'm a 3D modeler, but also use my mouse for gaming. I'm in need of a new one that is by the best quality for someone who needs a palm grip mouse and at least two side buttons for my thumb.
I'm using pic related at the moment, but is too high for my hand and I feel like it's affecting my wrist in the long run.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should look for?

How do yall build a pc on a reasonable budget?
By having realistic expectations.
Besides what is a reasonable budget ?
And you can always change some parts in the future for better things when you get the money.
1. You understand that you aren't joining the 4K 120FPS PC Maaterace club.
2. Set a budget that isn't going to bankrupt you.
3. Buy used and buy sweet spot components.
You skimp out on the case, CPU cooler, HDD, and fans/accessories.
No speccy thread?
Let's fix that.

So One plus just announced their new (presumed) flagship. their whole advert focus' a lot on virtual reality, but what could they possibly add to a phone that would make it different from any other flagship running cardboard? do you think we're likely to see something like positional tracking?
Why is it that the most notable thing about the entire announcement, the fact that they just abolished their invite system, is the one thing you leave out?

How does one go about learning C?
carefully
>>54866747
Do your research, and just start. Make sure you can deal with failure and being hella confused at times.
Once you're over the hump, it's clear sailing.
Buy "C For Dummies" or something similar.

>Police in Australia and Europe were aware of a paedophile site called the Love Zone hidden in the so-called dark web. It was protected by passwords, encryption and specialist software. Users were totally anonymous. . . Officers with Task Force Argos in Australia knew the creator of the site used an unusual greeting - the word "hiyas". After exhaustively trawling chatrooms and forums in the open internet, they found a Facebook page of a man who used the same greeting. Although the Facebook page was fake,...

>Did the cops seriously isolate this guy with the word "hiyas?"
Probably. I'm surprised they even had to go that far.
>And how'd a fake profile lead them to the right man anyways?
Read the fucking text you posted retard
>>54866740
If the profile had pictures of him and his car how was it fake? Did someone else inexplicably make a profile of this guy using his own pictures?
So with the RX 480 set to absolutely rape nvidia senseless along with all the yet to be released cards being available in the next few months, I think I'm going to wait until the dust settles and prices tank to make a final decision on what I want to buy as a long term card.
In the meantime, I'm on a shit-tier Acer piece of shit laptop with a 760m that gets as hot as a broiler and stutters in CSGO (which incidentally is pretty much the only game I play atm). I've been wanting to bite the bullet for months now and sell this turd and build a cheap desktop,...

With CSGO the sky really is the limit. Do you want 60fps? 80? 100? 150? 200? 300? 400? 500fps? Don't mean to be rude but it's a pretty shit question.
>>54866703
Just a solid 60. I wouldn't even be mad if it dipped a bit below that, since currently I'm doing slightly below that anyway
>>54866725
GTX 480 with a Core2 Duo @ 3GHZ with 4GB ram will probably run you over budget a little but will be comfy as fuck in CSGO

So I fell for the Linux meme a few months ago on my old laptop just to check it out. I barely use it and would like to reinstall Windows 8 on it again so that I can have a backup laptop for work. I think I may have overwritten the entire windows 8 OS and can't find any of the original files. The laptop in question is an HP Envy TouchSmart which I bought in 2014. Wondering if the windows 8 install prompt is still hidden somewhere on this thing, and if so, how can I find it? Not a big deal if I can't... but any help is appreciated.
I like Mint but it's not...

If you're lucky, your windows key may be embedded in your laptop's acpi.
If that's the case, you can probably just pick up an iso from Microsoft's site and reinstall without any issues.
>>54866585
What is ACPI? And how would I go about recovering it if it exists?
> using Linux for anything work-related
Linux is a fucking meme OS, can't do productivity, gaming, or run literally any enterprise program.
