what should I do with my rPi model 2 B?
I've been using it for retropie but it's getting old as it's more convenient to emulate shit from my laptop.
I have a 10GB microSD, and shitty bluetooth and wifi dongles.
Obviously I have a monitor, mouse, and keyboard with it.

I'd just recommend a fresh install.
If you back up everything in your user folders (and appdata folders) it should be a fairly smooth install, with little fucking about.
Don't know much about GPU's but I have an AMD R9 200 series it looks like pic related with the copper/brass looking tubes on the bottom.
It's having issues with running Dark souls 3 and staying at roughly 40ish I'm not sure if that's the cap for the game itself that FROM put into the game but I assume not. Is it time to upgrade?

there are many 200 series card models, and quite a few with copper heat pipes. that said, even the 290X is getting a little old. either get a GTX 1070, GTX 1080, RX 480 (or two of them), or wait for AMD's new flagship in the coming months

to be frank however it seems even with this build you have cash left so invest in a slightly less shitty CPU/GPU...pirate windows for savings. Also consider overclocking if he's going to play AAA games...more bang for buck and all that.
Now I have a decent gaming rig I setup for less than 300 so I damned well know you can do better than this.

Also to help your budget constraints consider buying a cp[u/motherboard combo. Quite a few places do those. Buying them seperatly costs a bit more. use extra for a better GPU
Mind you I use the same GPU myself But I have delusions about its abilities, and it's not quite AAA title worthy. It's a damned fine card for the money, but with a bit more you can do much better
