So... my father has passed away and due to my family being a pos i can't have access to my father's email account.

I contacted microsoft, and they told me all they could do was send me a dvd with everything the email has.

Why do i want access to the email? My father divorced my mother a long time ago and was recently "dating" someone. This stupid fucking shit hypocrite cunt said she bought everything in half with him, and told us all his electronics (he was a geek, i guess) had disappeared or he didn't have them. For example, the mac pro 2015 he bought and his iphone 6 suddenly dissapeared. This bitch is breaking my family.

Is there anything i can do to have access to my father's account? Microsoft wasn't helpful.

Sorry for long text and crappy english.

I didn't see one so Speaker Thread.

Seeing as it's the season to spend money on new stuff, I'd like to finally get some notshit speakers to replace my shit computer speakers.

I'm currently looking at the Micca MB42X speakers paired with a Lepai LP-2020A+ amplifier. My budget is flexible, but I'd like to keep it around $100 or so.

Good idea yes/no?

Why is windows 7 so expensive fuck.

Its the only OS worth a damn for gaming and youll be hardpressed to find a barebones package for less than 100 bucks. Nobody ever talks about the $150 you have to dish out for the OS when theyre listing their "budget builds"

Kinda caught me off guard desu

triplebootfagwannabe here, gonna (sleep and then) partition my 256GB SSD like this:
50GiB - NTFS - Win 7
40GB - HFS - El Cap'n
30GB - Ext2/3/4 - undecided distro (non-gentoo, preferably with installer)
restGB - exFAT - shared space for documents, desktop, and other shit
anything I should do differently? (and, of course, if you reply, be a good anon and state reasons why)

Is design r4 a safe case to get for someone new to pc building?
>>
>>52023836
ok havne't done this since probably 10.6, but at that time it was best to create your uefi drive and hft+ partition first, install OSX and chameleon, then install windows 2nd and linux third. After that boot back into your hack setup usb key and redo whatever boot loader is the go these days.

I'd have the shared partition as a seperate drive though for sure. much easier if you have to nuke the OS drive or if you fuck something up

I was asked by my friend to make a Mini ITX build in a games console like case (he's a console pleb) so that he could play steam games with me.

He used the price of the Alienware Alpha for comparison, which is basically i3, Geforce 860M, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD for £450 bongs.

I put this together: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/WpFWgs

for about £400 bongs.

Any way to improve it?
I used the 750Ti because I did some research and the 860M apparently has similar performance.

It HAS to be small/console and he has to be able to carry it around, because he will take it to people's houses, hook up to TVs etc.

Thank you /g/

Pic related is the case.

Tell him to kill himself, fucking console pleb. A pc isn't exclusively for gaming, a gpu is the only part in a pc that's important for gaming. A decent cpu should be top priority, so bottlenecking should not be possible on a half-decent pc. A $400 gpu is enough to beat any console by a huge margin, so that's the only price you should compare to consoles. My whole /bst/ cost me €1800, but my gpu cost me €405, and it fucks consoles in every possible way. I didn't spend €1800 just to play games. I spent €1395 to do productive and non-productive shit that isn't gaming. I only spend €405 to game.

He's gonna be saving money with free multiplayer, Steam sales and piracy, so tell him to increase his budget so he can afford a better graphics card and processor.

See if you can nab a used i5 2nd gen and then dish out more cash for an R9 380.

Hey guys,

just finished my technician-apprenticeship...but most of the time ive done things with windows.
Now i want to learn something about penetration testing. So...i want to buy a used macbook (not earlier then 2011 because of the built in intel hd graphics). And i want to use Kali with it. So has anyone experience with kali on a MBP(dualboot, compatibility, etc)
So tell me what you think about that. Should i buy another notebook?

Thanks

>penetration testing

The most important thing when choosing a laptop for penetration testing is to choose one with a wireless chipset that supports all the functions of the aircrack suite (packet injection, fragmentation, fakeauth, monitoring, etc.)

Hey /g/

Will any of you be buying 4k players and disks? What do you think about the tech?

Right now I have absolutely zero desire to a) upgrade my 1080p tv b) shell out additional hundreds of dollars for a player c) shell out double or triple prices for 4k movies I already own in bluray

Nevermind the fact I bet allot of movies will look just as shit in 4k as they did in fucking dvd

As I understand it, 4k BR is more important for the updated color space than resolution. Currently, it's just really expensive to remaster content in 4k, especially if we're talking older films. Criterion already masters some stuff in 2k cause they don't have the time for 4k. I suspect the new encoding and space will be more useful for compilation BRs (i.e., TDK trilogy on 1 disc) than for real improvements on 1 movie discs.

How do I use my autistic interest in computers to land myself a job and get out of NEET status?

I'm not too great at programming yet, but I'm well-versed in computer electronics, electrical circuits, repairs & upgrades.

Is there anything out there for me?

Help me choose a new computer chair /g/

Looking at:
1. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00A3BZ8VW
2. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Popamazing-Reclining-Designer-Computer-Adjustable/dp/B00MFDZ2US/
3. http://www.chairoffice.co.uk/prod/1049/cream-chesterfield-high-back-study-chair.aspx

For the last 5 years I've used one that has all the leather come off and the gas cannister finally broke so it's no longer height adjustable, I don't have high standards.

I'd rather not spend too much.
