1. Ubuntu(any flavor)
2. Manjaro
3. Korora

These distros work amazingly out of the box, look great, and have a large collection of up to date packages.

Still interested in trying Sabayon.

Shout out to elementaryOS. Clean and easy, I may still be using it if not for outdated packages

Mint, xubuntu, ubuntu mate and Arch(itech) are the best imo

Arch is objectively the best GNU/Linux distribution if you know how to use it.

No, because it's shit.
I used it for a month. Windows update broke the start menu and boot manager during that time. There is no reason to use Win10 other than DirectX12 and nothing is using that yet.

Fucking hell. The PC doesnt even have to be restarted now. This thing can install whenever it feels like it.
All it takes is for you to not pay attention to the update roster and almost no one does.

What's worse is that it's put the WindowsBT folder on my HDD too. That thing is an absolute cunt to delete.

That Windows 10 update shit bricked my development and test VM.

I just needed it for testing the Windows build.

What does /g/ think about Architect? I tried it in a VM to get some experience with installing arch in general, and it simplifies the process without severely limiting your choices. Just look at a guide for tips and you’ll be fine.

I'd like arch devs to adopt the installer.
They had the exact same framework a few years ago, I wonder why they dropped it
>>52011766
You could've installed manjaro minimal though.

amd is destroying nvidia in every dx12 benchmark coming out.

looks like all that extra vram amd has been giving away virtually for free will come in extra handy next year when dx12 starts to get pushed and hardware is actually used.

You closed my tabs for THIS? Without permission, you closed 50+ tabs that I've had open for months, for this? That's it, I am fucking done.

What's a browser that
1. Can look good
2. Has a way to block ads even if it's not as good as adblock. It's ok if I have to manually add html regions to be blocked or something like that.
3. Respects its users

I was ok with most firefox changes but the latest "address bar search suggestion shit that does not get disabled even if you disable it" and now this is too much.

So this poo2loo thing has been around since April 2014 why has it only recently attained meme status? /g/ has been strongly against Indians in the tech field for as long as I can remember. And the Indian CEOs working for the megacorps have held their positions for as long or longer than this unicef initiative

Also why do Indians shit in public if they have indoor plumbing? This campaign seems to suggest that they have a choice in the matter and *choose* to shit everywhere, which I have a hard time believing.

Actually scratch that second paragraph I just want to know why this is a meme now, and not earlier.

I just spent a semester learning how to program in Assembly and have no idea what the practical applications are.

What projects are beginner level and put assembly to good use?

You can learn to do buffer overflows and stuff, if you want to learn check out Jon Erickson's book. Beyond that, there's really no application I've ever used. Even something low level like an OS is by far mostly written in a higher level language. In fact that's why C was invented.
>>
there isnt much application to actually program in that, you use it for disassembly and debuggers for analyzing other programs

Theres been a lot of memes about this program being gud on reddit, but the fact is it doesnt run on linux. Is it good enough that its still the king, or is VLC still the best?

Who the fuck uses VLC for anything. It's a last resort for a problem file.

Foobar for music.

MPC-HC/MPC-BE/Potplayer/MPV are all 100 billion times better, especially if you load LAV Filters/MadVR.
