I want to get a hard case for my iphone 5c but otterboxes are really bulky. I have heard UAG makes good cases

Do you guys have any other suggestions of good strong cases?

I have a UAG case for my 6S. It's actually one of the best cases I've used, would totally recommend to anyone looking for a case to protect from drops.

I imagine the 5C one is quite good.

Aside from familiarity for some users, is there any actual reason to be using Slackware at this point?

I don't understand this IE is slow meme. I've never had a problem with it's speed. I've used it, Firefox, and chrome and haven't noticed any speed differences.
>>
>>52009744
I've had plenty of problems regarding IE's speed, but that's just me.
>>
>>52009744
It got a lot better in the later versions. Towards the end the main problems with IE were bad memories and a lack of good extensions.

My friend invited me to this club and they were playing dubstep. This one track had some guy with a chav accent rapping over it and he kept saying "ghosthack the firewall" over and over. What does that mean, /g/?

It means you need to install Gentoo.
>>
He was just remixing some dialog from one of those CSI shows, prolly.
>>
In windows xp the firewall had to be "ghosthacked" in order to disable it otherwise the firewall would stay enabled or something. Google it

I want to know about the inner workings of computer software, and some basic programming skills in general. I currently know nothing of basic computing terminology, how to use command prompt, where to start with all of this, or even what fucking Javascript is (or if it is even relevant). Some links and recommendations as to how I can get into this computing mumbo jumbo would be greatly appreciated. Help a pleb in need

The smallest meaningful piece of information that can be communicated through a computer is called a bit. A bit is always either a 1 or a 0. 1 means that this particular part is stimulated with electricity. 0 means it isn't. A string of 8 ones and zeros makes a byte, and this allows us to start building up meaningful information. Numbers are represented in binary form. This means that instead of base 10 they are base 2. So in order to write 1 you write 1. In order to write 2 you write 10. 3 is 11. And so on.

Skipping ahead a little bit, now you need to understand logic circuits. A logic circuit basically blocks or allows electricity based on its inputs. An And gate will only allow electricity through if both inputs are stimulated, an or will only do it if at least one. Nor must be neither, and xor means exclusive or, meaning that it must be ONLY one. Not both. These circuits can have data passed.through them and can be built up into large complicated messes that eventually become software. Your CPU contains a fuckton of these circuits smaller than dust.

Can't get Gigabit Ethernet

I ran a whole bunch of cat 5e through my house and I cant get Gigabit, only 100 Megabit. when I use store bought cables I get Gigabit but not with any of my home done ones. (pic related, its one of them)

I marched the store one and the colours sequence is the same on each end.

I have tried two different crimpers now so I am pretty sure its not the crimper.

TL;DR
Home network not fast enough. Help.

I want to buy a RPi 2B and connect a hard drive to it.

I want it to be connected to my TV and run Kodi.
I also want it to store my music in the HD and make it accessible to all the PCs in my network.

Can this be done?

Also, RPi general thread.

Apple makes fashion statements, not practical electronic devices.

Radeon is fucking garbage. Jesus Christ I want to kill myself for buying into this shitty meme video card line. They could not have failed any harder with their garbage tier software if they had tried.

The drivers are utter trash, half the 2D environments I run have shit flickering in them, I figured they were outdated drivers but nope, fully up to date. I had to navigate the god awful, slow, hardware intensive radeon application to even find it. And then after a while I see there's and easy peasy overclock tab. I should have been smarter than to use it but I did. As soon as I hit apply my computer fucking crashed.

Fuck you and, fuck you radeon, and fuck you windows. I'm going to go install fucking gentoo.

So I'm building my own desktop soon, and I'd like to run Arch dual booted with Windows 10. Along with this, I need your guys' help with customizing my Arch build. Looking through the desktop threads, there are some pretty awesome builds on /g/. Are there any tips from you guys or resources you could point me too to learn how to make desktops like those. Thanks ahead /g/

The fuck you fgts know about this? Apparently Google selects people for challenges based on their search results. I'll link a few articles detailing this below.

Has anyone had any success getting into the program? I've heard of one person getting in by making sure adblock was disabled and googling itertools about 20 times. There are a few other phrases such as python lambda function list comprehension etc that have gotten people access. Anyone have any luck?
