I've got an old old old i7 920 (2.6ghz) that's still chugging along just fine.
It's paired with a just as old 6850.
Unfortunately it's showing its age and fallout 4 is framey as Hell.
My question is: is it worth it to just upgrade the GPU or will it be bottlenecked by my 7 year old cpu?

Going by passmark a stock clocked 920 is about 10% slower than a A10-7870. So looks like ~40fps average on medium. I don't know if medium includes any CPU heavy features that could be turned down more, or if they've optimized the game since then.

Is this some assembly?
To "delete" just mov 0 data into the address, there isn't really "deleting" data at this low level though. To compare strings, you need a buttload of jumps and compare each character, if any character doesn't fit the condition you go on to the next set of characters.
Assembly is boiler plate: the language.

I'm trying to extract .ogg audio files from an archive by the way, since it's a proprietary archive format I cannot open it with 7zip nor Winrar, IsoBuster cannot differentiate between the audio files either, so I've been extracting the tracks manually, which works pretty well:

Sure, on like medium settings. You will need something a little beefier than a R7 360. The CPU I believe should be fine. But you definitely don't want to be cheap when it comes to the graphics card.

This. And there is little to none copy variation. We have loads of screen at work and some brands have so much copy variation you wonder if it's a different type, but it's not.
My experience:
- Acer K242HL: We bought around 30 of these. Some have DVI, some have DVI and HDMI. Panel differences, height differences, even the font is different on some. Cheap as shit of course, perhaps to be expected, but still a bit surprised with the variation.

Samsung pushed an update that stopped the soft touch buttons on my s4 from working. After trying everything I could to fix it (rebooting, clearing cache, factory reset) I sant samsung an email who told me to do a factory reset, and then told me to take it into their service center.
The nearest service center is so fucking far away, I want to be sure that they can sort it out before I waste my time.
What can I expect?

Replacing the screen means you had to "transfer" the glued on buttons to the new one, right? maybe they lost connection to the glass, or cable to motherboard, it's a shitty situation and could get complicated. Did you try other ROMs yet?

The screen, digitizer, buttons, and glass all came pre assembled, just swapped the board over. Never even touched the buttons. Google says this has happened to other people after updating.

look for earlier version stock ROMs (on xda developers or something) and flash that onto your device, factory reset will keep the current ROM version and just wipe data
