Say I have a big .txt file with information structured like this:

"name":"Hitler","Stallman likes to eat dead skin off of his feet";"name":" "Dick_Butt","I like turles";"name":"Ahmed_Muhammed":"I made a clock!";"name":"anon","Install gentoo.";"name":"12345","435464523"

I want to make a script that looks for the word "clock", and if it finds it it should save the name to the left of it to a text file, in this case "Ahmed_Muhammed", then continue looking for more instances of "clock" until it reach the end of the .txt file.

Can this be done with a batch file?

I can't into Teutonic moon runes. tl;dr that for me.

Is Tor itself compromised, or were they just faggots on Tor and not using actual security procedures?

Would it be cool to make a Kickstarter Clone focused on urban planning. So people can quickly post pictures of city issues and the crowd could work together to fix urban planning issues. The site would make it easier to vote on the projects and share solutions such as the best solar panels to use in an area to power lights in said area. Or make blanket wifi a reality.

Micros*ft and other corporations abused this Czech guy over piracy and threatened him with insane fine if he does not agree to ridicule himself in a silly video clip on YouTube.

How is this for the price? I don't really have much of a clue about building a PC, was looking for a second opinion. I basically just want to build a PC so I can play games at a decently high quality like Dota or LoL. I'd like to keep the price no higher than £600 unless going higher is necessary for a good PC for what I need.

I'm also looking to have a dual screen set up so some recommendations would be nice, the price of the screens don't fall under PC building costs.

Time to upgrade.

10.11.2 is out. El Crappytan no more. Developers are using the Metal API
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_(API)
and the San Francisco typeface
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_(2014_typeface)
designed for Retina displays actually looks clearer from a distance, and up close. It even renders faster than Helvetica, squeezing out that much more performance from the system.

+ Apps open 40% faster.
+ System graphics, such as mission control, dock animations are smoother and snappier (metal api)
+ The VRAM for graphics cards has been increased by 30%
+ LibreSSL replaces the known vulnerable OpenSSL
+ Rootless System Integrity Protection

I7-4790k or I7-6700k? How much of a boost performance wise will I see with Skylake in gaming? As it stands, I can get a I7-6700k for 360$ or an I7-4790k for 250$. Will be using a GTX 980 ti if that matters.

My thread on /v/ failed, but I never had much hope for those backwards-thinking fucks anyway.

How can I help Valve make Steam Machines popular?
Since current selection of Steam Machines has awful price/performance ratio, would it be good idea to get crowdfounding going for new model of Steam Machine?
If Valvedrones got together, there would probably be enough tech skill to design and build good Steam Machine.

Everywhere when there is a mention of SteamOS / Steam Machines / Steam Link all I see is whining how badly the whole idea of Linux-as-gaming-platform is executed, but nowhere any suggestions or ideas about how to improve current situation.

it needs exclusive titles.
>>
>>51545382
I would not agree, since exclusives are anti-consumer cancer
Yes, some hyped exclusives would boost sales, but platform itself would not be any better because of this, and once hype would fall, consumer backlash would do more harm than good
>>
>>51545511

but it would draw more attention to it. More attention -> more developers -> more improvements.

What's the best paid VPN service, and why? Preferably torrent friendly.
13 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
They're all snake oil. If you actually do anything that warrants anyone coming after you, they'll have a legal team, and the VPN provider will shit themselves at the first request.

That's why all of these providers have disclaimers that say "we don't support bad activities" blah blah types of terms.

It's like buying condoms that say "don't fuck" on the wrapper.

If you're doing something you shouldn't be, you're going to get caught.

The only valid use of a VPN is probably getting around region-blocked content, that's not too bad of an "offense", but you don't need paid VPN's for that.
