KDE4 was GOAT, I expected something as good when I tried KDE5, but

Got one of these for christmas. Won't play video. I get about 5-10 minutes in and all of a sudden lose sound. Picture completely freezes about 10 seconds after that. Is something wrong with a piece of hardware? Is the whole thing just a piece of shit? The thing is brand fucking new. Would be eternally grateful for input from someone who has a bit of knowledge about this shit.
The whole thing is shit, return it and request your money back.

That's the thing though. It workrd fine until 3 days ago. Return window closed 5 days ago. I have a warranty, but doesn't it have to be a hardware issue? Do warranties cover them being garbage?
The person who bought it for me said the guy from Best Buy told them it was as good as any laptop. He also told them that there was absolutely no difference between a laptop and a notebook. Did the salesman just see a group of people that didn't know anything and treat them like dickheads? Or was he stupid?

Skylake does NOT intentionally prevent the installation of anything. The only thing that's changed is the dropping of native USB2 support. Old Windows installers apparently can't handle USB3.
You can still install Win7 from optical disk or network boot, as long as you have a non-USB keyboard lying around.
Dropping support for obsolete legacy shit (USB2) is a good thing.

Understandably most of you are very familiar with programing, and usual implementation of software. Currently I lead a small startup, I have two average programers, but they honestly aren't "the shit". We have gotten some funding and I want to accelerate the building of the software, can it be done, by just hiring more people. Is there any way to accelerate a Waterfall model, or a way to divide work sort of like a production chain, where each programmer does something. and in the end you polish it up. I'm a physics and economics major, who has dipped his toes in Java and Python but not much else.

It can be done, and maybe it is not really necessary for mass consumer market .And I think if there were enough apps with both desktop and mobile version, if they allow to buy two copies of app (one for mobile, one for desktop) with one payment, I think Android can achieve it.
