/g/ is either winbabies who don't know what red hat even is. Or linux users who are unemployed. Apart from your regular NSA agent browsing /g/ nobody uses red hat.

Does anyone here think that there is a huge risk of getting caught with a pretty low (0.1-0.5w) power station running out of one's house? I live in a small town, not near any big cities, and only really plan to transmit on empty frequencies like late at night. The signal should only reach out a mile or two from my house, so do you think there are any big dangers?

This is also something I'm interested in.
>>
>>52511803
As long as you do not disturb anyone with it no one cares, if no one reports interference no one will ever come looking for you.
Like you said, just use it on empty frequencies and at low power.

If you see a van with a large yagi antenna on the roof it might be time to stop, but it is very unlikely anyone cares.

Just get your general licence. It takes like 4 hours of studying

I am in informatic class, and this teacher is swearing that the compatibility issues between Mac and PC come from a difference in CPU architecture.

I told her that it's just the OS, and that Apple switched from PowerPC to Intel like 10 years ago.

She won't believe me...

And you guys, any experiences like that ?

Sup /g/entlemen

I never really used anti-virus on my laptop because the best security is simply not to be a fucking idiot on the internet and antivirus just felt like a pointless bloatware - especially since it came with McAfee which I removed straight away.

Long story short I'm wondering what the best free anti-virus available in terms of providing that little bit of background security just in case in your personal opinion(s).

just use mse
>>
Only install things from your package manager or from downloaded source code.
>>
>>52511620
an anti-virus that doesn't even impact your ram is no anti-virus at all, still, how heavy a program can be on your system depends all on the settings you choose, I'm running avast free with settings all maxed out, no issues so far, you won't even notice with ssd anyway.

Is this normal... I heard it is CryptoWall. Shouldn't any competent IT team be able to just roll back to a backup in less than a week?

Maybe they don't have a backup, and if that's the case, the IT team is fucked.

That's quite interesting, OP.

Question: I've heard there's a new version of 810, which doesn't throttle. Is that true? Which phones have it?
>>
>>52511552
It might be a tad better, but the chip is still crippled. It's probably underclocked to hell on the software side as well, so it doesn't overheat in general use so the average consumer doesn't notice. But it doesn't perform during heavy use. Avoid if you can.

Why does it have separate return and enter keys

First for incomplete AMK
>>
>>52511453

On a MacBook with no number pad, the key combination fnreturn produces the Enter key. Individual programs can decide whether to treat the two keys as separate or the same. Many programs treat them the same.

The only example I have been able to come up with that still treats the two keys separately is iTunes: when browsing tracks, return starts playing the track, while enter (or fnreturn) enters track rename mode.

It's over.
