Having separate headphone and audio jacks is great, go fuck yourself.

Enjoy the MAFIAA fucking you in the ass by forcing your manufacturer to disable "What You Hear" in the audio drivers with your shitty one audio jack.

The two-jack mustard race will go on enjoying being able to actually record audio on their desktop on Windows.

Linuxfags need not apply. MAFIAA has deemed their audio subsystem too messy to even bother.

Hey /g/, I've been wanting to make this post for a while. I really like tech and computers, obviously. For about 8 years now, I have been tinkering with computers and reading online and watching tutorials here and there. I've picked up a lot, but I never formally learned about computers and how the software and firmware actually works. I know how to get around windows and install operating systems from a USB stick, but have no idea how to use Linux and what gentoo is good for, for example. Here are some things I've picked up or learned so far over the years:

Coding:
>HTML and CSS
>a bit of python (still learning)
>teensy bit of GLua

General usage:
>Basically everything about using Windows, even more intermediate/advanced stuff like permissions
>basic command line experience with Linux and Windows, thanks to raspberry pi
>I know how to modify my system to my liking

Physical Hardware:
>Know every function of every component of a computer, down to the difference between 7200rpm and 5400rpm hdd's
>Have built 3 pc's

Networking:
>Port forwarding and general understanding of what it's for
>have hosted my own game servers for garrys mod, minecraft (sorry), and csgo and have modified lua files (for gmod) to make plugins and assets play nice together

Hacking:
>Doxxing and ip grabbing
>lots of experience with RATs and Crypters

So that's a summary of my knowledge pretty much. Can you guys assess my skill level and point me to where I could possibly learn more about Linux, networking, what the fuck git is and how it works, repositories and how they work, and maybe how to use Kali to further my hacking skills. Sorry for this autistic post, and hope to see some responses.

you're retarded, html and css aren't programming languages, python is shit, you don't know glua and even if you did it's shit, you don't know "everything about windows", "command line experience" is not impressing anyone, moving files != modifying your system, you are using apostrophes incorrectly, you don't know shit about hardware if your most badass example is literally that you know what RPM means, building computers is not hard nor does it impress anyone, following a guide on port forwarding isn't impressing anyone, moving lua files isn't impressing anyone, "doxxing" and "ip grabbing" are both autistic terms for dumb teenagers and if you think they make you a hacker you are stupid, and i seriously doubt you know anything about crypters or viruses/"RATS" beyond how to use them.
git is a source version control protocol and program that is used to manage versions of software, google it.
linux is a kernel for a operating system, networking is an extremely complex topic, and neither of those you will get a quality explanation of on /g/.
kali is for actual skids.
stop minging gmod all day and go learn something useful.

What happened to just signing up for a free website host, uploading your html document, and then having your website up and running? Do any sites still let you do this?

I know many providers who still do this, though because people upload a lot of content sensible to DMCA, I wouldn't be surprised if a site disappeared tomorrow without warnings, these ISPs run automated scripts to determine which accounts need to be closed, people make thousands accounts a day, just uploading a random mkv file might get you flagged. Be careful what you upload, there're many ways to avoid this though with a bit of creativity.

Try searching "free web host" and see what you get, I got a bunch of these services just now from DDG results.

Thanks for the quick reply. Know of anything else that's maybe free but ad supported? Webs used to do this back when they were Freewebs, but now it seems you can only customize their premade templates. Also their ad bars are more intrusive now than ever...

okayish for it's price, but the lack of proper scroll wheel and the tiny hard to reach secondary buttons prevent it from being good.

However, all that objective nonsense is irrelevant, since it is the device that the Glorious Leader uses, so it automatically means the trackball is also glorious.

for 15, I'd say yes.

Hey /g/, redpill me on being somewhat anonymous online (I understand that true anonymity is impossible).

I would like to install an easy to use, light distro similar to tails on a partition, I would use tails but I'd rather just install it on a partition instead of booting from a USB drive. (I have windows 10 for everything else, only because I like a wide variety of games)

I also want to get started using tor and was wondering if there was any added security benefit of using tor from a proxy?

I would also like to get started on subscribing to a safe, anonymous monthly proxy service, monthly email service, and monthly phone service that I can access via tor, but I realize that paying for such services with a credit card defeats the purpose of anonymity, so I wanted to know if there was any sort of wallet in which I can just transfer money into the account, than any services I wish to purchase can just use the wallet as a middle man? I realize that is what crypto currencies are for but I'd rather just have something that uses a set amount instead of worrying about the volatile crypto market.

Sorry if I come off sounding like an idiot but any info on this subject will be much appreciated.

>tor from proxy
Ideally you'd go from encrypted connection to a VPN to TOR.
Of course, if you can't pay a VPN service in a way that hides your true identity, and if you can't be guaranteed that this VPN will actually secure your identity, then there's no point.

Most people should be able to understand that it's impossible to hide from the US Government if the government is targeting you. Even if you're using proxies purportedly handled by "enemies" of the state.

TOR is one of those things that you use to hide from the government. It's not truly effective for someone being targeted, but better than nothing for someone that isn't.

If all you want to do is hide from Facebook and Google, you turn off JavaScript and other addons. You don't even really need a proxy, but owning a secure connection to a VPN is fine. You can even pay for it in your own name.

Long story short, I have aspergers, and prefer to read PDF files by right clicking them and setting them to a slow autoscroll so my eyes are constantly drawn to read everything on screen before it disappears. This is the most efficient way for me to consume readable media, and I want to know the most efficient way to scape the Cisco website so that all the information can be in a PDF. I don't know if wget is an option here, since the pages in question are only accessible under my account.
Is there some kind of macro utility that I can use to efficiently scape all the text and images in these small sections into one large PDF document?
