I'm about to switch over from my college email to a different email, and it would be nice to pick one with as much longevity as possible, so I don't have to go through the pain of updating all of my accounts reliant on it again.
Is a gmail fine, or is it better to get a custom domain and simply use it for personal use (as opposed to most custom email domains which are used for companies).

I've moved a hard drive with Vista on it to another laptop with a completely different CPU, mobo and everything yet it booted just fine on the first try and functioned as well.
Depends. I've had it happen with some computers and others something like a mb switch would cause a non-repairable bsod.

I can't get used to the trackpad for aiming. It's hard to do intermediate movements. I either slide the thumb too much or too little. To get more control I uncounciously try to press on the trackpad harder so that I get a bigger friction on the thumb, and therefore more control, but I still can't do it, it's awakard as fuck.

If you have any alternatives on drawing tablets, make sure the one you're suggesting has a screen on it. I can go smaller on screen size.
These are pretty much the gold-standard in any size. Don't skimp on a drawing tablet if you do it professionally/if it's your primary hobby. You'll really regret it.
If you're just sketching, something like a surface pro 4 can suffice, but it's markedly worse than a wacom

Everyone says to get Wacom and ignore everyone else, but in reality why would you? That would make Wacom a effective monopoly, even as a high-end industry standard there's not much to back that up either. There are too few cases where the tool is determinant for the quality of the work, and that's usually when there's fault within the product, which happens a lot with Wacom anyway. Because they are electronics. That's how it works, things might break or not work as expected, in which case you should just RMA.
