Please help me /g/, I have a MDF/MDS image I need to convert to ISO.
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
IIRC MDF is a proprietary disk image file format used by Alcohol 120%, you'd have to install it, mount the image and then make an ISO image out of it. Alcohol can do that all by itself if I'm not mistaken.

Let's have an actual programming puzzle thread. No stabbing birds allowed.

Write a quine: a program that outputs its own source code. This generally means you must use a print statement.

-No REPL
-No file IO
-No blank/only-whitespace files
-stdout must match exactly the source, including all quotation marks.

I'll post my solution in Python2 in a bit. Here's some code to get started

print 'print'
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
any takers?

Hint 2:
print 2*'print'

Code to test your solution on Linux
diff <(binary <(binary quine.ext)) quine.ext

should return no output.

Your puzzle sucks and you should feel bad. You should have posted this in /dpt/

Where do I go to ask programming questions?
I'm so done with this site

The post has -4 points so obviously people feel the same as you on the second and third point at least. I'm not sure what the problem is

while they do get downvoted, these posts are still alarmingly popular, especially if your on the site very actively.

Fingerprinting is the newest way of tracking you across websites.
It's being done right now by companies like Google.
Because unlike cookie based tracking you can't defeat it just by disabling cookies.
In the Panopticlick study 83.6% of fingerprints were unique, even when JavaScript and/or Flash was disabled, and this is before canvas fingerprinting was invented.
There is currently NO FOOLPROOF DEFENCE against fingerprinting (except quitting the Internet).

Google's privacy policy states
>Other technologies are used for similar purposes as a cookie on other platforms where cookies are not available or applicable
https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/key-terms/#toc-terms-cookie

ReCAPTCHA probably still contains fingerprinting code:
https://archive.is/9K5gs
This means that the majority of 4chan users could be being fingerprinted, and Google might know about your shitposting habits even if cookies are disabled.

Google releases limited hangout of how much they know about you:
https://news.slashdot.org/story/16/06/29/2038257/googles-my-activity-reveals-how-much-it-knows-about-you

Daily reminder to do all your Amazon / eBay / LinkedIn / botnet shit in a completely separate browser to your Googling or buying shit.
It's currently the ONLY way to truly defend against fingerprint tracking.
Double points if you have each browser running in a different VM with a different OS.
Triple if you have each browser's VM configured with a different VPN connection.

Could the FP-Block browser extension be what we're looking for?
http://satoss.uni.lu/software/fp-block/
Adds randomness to canvases, generates random HTTP headers, randomises timezone, etc.
Bggy, and it doesn't seem to play well with other extensions, but very promising.
If only it was under active development.

Still being shit on by Sony in terms of portable storage, music players, and consumer electronics in general.

Laptops would likely still be the same though.

Sony started the thin and light trend at the end of the 90's. I had the first Vaio laptop, and it was less than an inch thick (all the way, none of this wedge shape shit), all the way back in 1999.

I'll manage some devices through reverse SSH tunnels from my server.

I'll be using RSA keys (without passphrase) to authenticate as an unprivileged user (in case any of the devices get exploited).

How likely is it to Pajeet fuck up my machine?

Fail2ban, you can also ban ip adresses from china, russia, india.

Do that and setup automated security upgrade then do best practices for whatever webserver you run and you'll be 99% safe

Ok I will admit it...I am old school. I have not bought headphones in a damn while. I was going to get the sennheiser hd 290 monitors but it appears my memory is faded from drinking too much and they only sell 280's...Either way, my old cans have kicked it and I am in the market for around $100 headphones. What is killin it these days? If you say beats by dre I will come to your house in a clown costume and rape you.

So I've had good experiences using a cheap £99 chromebook with crouton for Linux (Ubuntu 14)

Question: Is the Chromebook Pixel worth it or just a meme?

I got a dell chromebook 13 i3 4gb ram for $520~ after tax recently.

Slapped a 256gb ssd in there and installed seabios and i'm running ubuntu mate on it. pretty comfy.
>>
>>55641063
Truth is, the Chromebook Pixel is fucking gorgeous however it's basically a meme at this point. It's more useless than a Macbook however if you can get Linux on it, despite it having a minimal amount of storage, it can be pretty good.
