I tried dual booting windows with manjaro and ran into many problems. The first: mouse doesn't work. I mean I can move it and hover over things and it will show me info on them but I cannot click.
I had to use my keyboard to navigate to everything and now after 20 minutes trying to install it, it's stuck on 23% which is the unpackfs.
Anyone know if what to do? Should I just leave it? I installed it on my laptop and it took about 5 minutes. But I have now waited almost half an hour and it's stuck.

why bother with linux when you have windows? there's nothing you can do on linux that you can't do better on windows.

Anyone here use BSD for daily desktop usage? I'm testing it out in a VM right now, but want to here input from actual users.
BSD for desktop is about the same as using Windows for servers.

OpenBSD is fine for laptops since the group "eats its own dogfood" basically it just means configuring apmd. You just have to be patient with OpenBSD devs to support the latest hardware. By patient I mean they are usually two generations behind cpu's.

so I am moving into a new house, I have been trying to steal some wifi
I've used a long range antenna and can get a stable connection from the local library on my windows 10 laptop
What I want to do is route the connection through a router so I have wifi throughout my house for all my other devices
Is there any way to do this? Or am I stuck with one connection on my laptop?

Buy a router and set it up as a repeater. Buy one with a detatchable antenna. The wr841nd is good and has openwrt support.

you will never get the quality of service equal to a paid connection, because your latency will be high. I do this and playing cs go competitive matches on it sucks ass, it's hard to get good ping this way. But for things like torrenting it should be good enough for u good luck
Alright guys I've been looking for a bluetooth speaker to use for the upcoming summer that will be used at outdoor parties, fotball matches etc.
My current choices are JBL Xtreme and the JBL Pulse 2. I mostly care about sound since it needs to be loud but the Pulse 2 has some cool features too plus it's a bit cheaper, any help?

I opted for linux after I installed Win 10. Windows kept freezing and the forced updates overwhelmed by bandwidth. Linux just werks for me.

It's not much better than 7, which is actually Vista SP3. 10 is just Vista SP6 with native virtual desktop management thrown in along with metro fuckery. It's not like going from windows 3.1 to 95, or XP to Vista.
The only real advantage 10 has over 7 is WDDM 2.0.

Hey so last night my dumbass of a roommate spilled beer all over my keyboard, everything was fried, no chance of fixing it. He said he would pay for a replacement so I'm ordering a new keyboard tonight. What would you guys recommend?
Preferably I would like a mechanical keyboard with audio controls, detachable keys (cherry reds), and that's about it. I haven't needed to buy any new hardware in awhile so I'm not sure what is really good anymore. My corsair vengeance (pic related) was great and lasted 4 years before moron broke it. I'm considering just getting a newer version of it unless you guys can suggest something better.
