I want something that will scale to extremely high levels with minimal work on my part.

I'm looking at either Elixir or Go.

Elixir's claim to fame:
* Functional so they say fewer runtime bugs
* Built on top of rocksolid Erlang VM used by telecoms. Shits been battletested for decades.

Go's claim to fame:
* Deploy a single binary
* go get is a good package manager replacement
* go fmt means every line of go code you read will look familiar.

Elixir.

Go's type system is trash and lacks generics. go get/go fmt are barely pros for Go. Single binary is mitigated by the fact that you can just dockerize your Elixir app and deploy it.

Both of them well, unless you do something obviously against best practices. The question is more about what you are building, your goals, and what the community is focused on.

Lack of generics really chapped my ass. Sorting structs is such a pain in the ass.

I have $7K I have to burn to on a 'scientific' computer. That is a computer for running simulations, doing AI shit, potentially running VR, and other scientific computing shit.

And by burn, I mean I have to spend it right now or it goes away. What gets me the most bang for my buck?

exceptionally bad management
>>
>>52448671
You installed all the wrong extensions and blame the browser on not having protection against extensions. Go back to chrome, you can't fuck it up, it won't let you.
>>
Too much bloat, slow as fuck, laggy and unresponsive 99% of the time and it's botnet. Chrome is botnet but at least it works. ie at least works even tho it sucks balls too.

What does /g/ use for password managers?

What do you guys think of Keepass?

Currently I save all of my shit to a passworded MS Access document which is on my dropbox, I believe it's time for me to change that.

The fuck is happening with my computer /g/? I just recently logged on to find my youtube like this, it seems to be the only site that's currently doing this right now. Also, using my PS4 controller to play games with the old DS4 tool no longer works properly, button prompts being numbers instead of the old xbone prompts. Please help.

I build PC's for myself, eventually reselling them to upgrade, every year or two.

None of them have ever been able to stay the fuck asleep. They just wake up, out of the blue.

>Turning off all USB, input, network, timer wake settings doesn't help.
>All other power modes (software/hardware reboot, cold boot, etc) work fine.
>All grounding fine.
>All parts have been swapped out for each build
>BIOS S1/S3 etc set properly

The integrated ethernet ports on every system do seem blink a lot for sleep mode. Am I paranoid to think my systems, all built from scratch every time, are being remotely awoken to access storage?
