Let's imagine I have pizza pictures stored in my home server, so I encrypt it with whatever Linux uses to encrypt an entire disk. But I also want efficient single-file backups like rsync, not "dd an entire 1TB disk every night". If I simply use a rsync cron job it will copy the files unencrypted, right? How can I have efficient backups with full-disk encryption?

>>
you might be literally retarded
disk a:encrypted source media
disk b:encrypted backup media

mount both, run backup from a to b, dismount b, done

now fuck off
>>
either;
rsync the mounted cleartext to a cleartext mount of another encrypted volume
(lots of overhead)
or
rsync the ciphertext itself to the other volume
(may not be sufficiently flexible, depending on requirements)

Linux is a shitload of bloatware atop a mound of binary blobs. Unix philosophy is basically dead, and it is time to come to terms with this. Imagine how beautiful a world where no cycle went to waste. Imagine how much more performance you would get from everything. It's really too bad the only original style Unix platforms have all gone to shit.

Wasted cycles are the least of the problems of today's Ganoo Linux though.

Why is this extension so based? I used to be a ABP shill until I tried uBlock Origin. Not only it blocks everything but is up and running as soon as I open the browser, unlike ABP which has like 5-10 seconds delay.

Also post your uBlock stats thread, I guess.

Coworker has me fixing her laptop but neglected to give me a password. I have no way to reach her for a few days. So what are my options for accessing her files before formatting?

Try to use a live usb/cd or wait for her to give you the password you nitwit. Do you think your coworker wants to potentially lose their files because you're being impatient?

Boot from a Windows CD, launch cmd, replace utilman.exe with cmd.exe in your system32 directory, reboot to login screen, launch Ease of Access, cmd will come up instead

Shit mouse. Use only the main brands such as cooler master, logitech, zowie etc.
Shit monitor. Get it under 5ms.

Scratch the belkin mouse pad. I've had 2, they separate from the membrane in weeks.

>Dead LGA1150 Socket mobo/cpu

Go 1151 so you don't have to change moon's in the future and get a beefier cooler if you're going i7.

>970 3.5GB
Don't jew yourself with this POS.
Go 980/980ti or 390 (x)/Fury (x)
Especially since you want to go i7, it's capability will be wasted.

>Shit tier mouse
>shit tier monitor

Don't ruin your experience with a sub par monitor after shoving all that power into your pc. That'll probably kill it for you and you'll end up replacing it, wasting more money in the end.

hey /g/, I just discovered that my roomate stole some of my clothes and other belongings. How do I fuck up his xbox?

does pic related work?

would a strong magnet work?

What is the best way to discreetly fuck up an xbox one?

I have tried shaking the fucking thing and pouring water down it.

Since I don't play shitty console games, I can't figure out how the fuck to do pic related. What is the settings screen? Xbox One looks all fucked up and jibble jarbled.

Are noise cancelling headphones worth it?
What's your experience with them?
I've read that they do well with low frequency noises, like an engine running, but how well would they work to cancel the noise of people talking on a public setting like a restaurant or coffee shop?

Pretty good if there is music playing. But you look retarded with them on in public.
