I'm fucking tired of that shitty dirty yellow tint in my fucking whites; can the amoled screen meme die till they get better at this relatively new technology?? It seems like the people that have phones with amoled screen and perfect whites are in the minority, why don't reviewers talk about this more frequently??? The only phone that's doesn't seems to have this problem is the HTC m8 (I don't know if that phone is AMOLED though). It's unacceptable that expensive as fuck devices as the nexus 6p and the Samsung Galaxy s6 suffer from this problem.
Yes AMOLED is the best screen technology, as a LG G4 owner I can say that the Galaxy S6 clearly blows the G4's screen the fuck out

Having a tint out of the box means it was calibrated badly from the factory. It has nothing to do with the screen technology and you can adjust it to your heart's content with some kernel settings.

I was born in 1997. Currently 18.
I've been using computers since I was 2, yet I've never felt like I've had a deep understanding of how they worked.
I know some basic things like what CPU and RAM stand for, but if someone were to ask me how they worked I don't think I'd be able to answer.
I feel as if I was born too late to have a good understanding of how electronics actually work, since every day, they become so user friendly that a gorilla could use them with ease.
Considering most of you probably grew up in the 80's or 90's or so you probably learned the in and outs via work or as a personal hobby.
I want to learn from the down up, but I have no idea where to start.
I mean I'm talking down to basics, the bare beginnings up to this point.
Are there any videos I can watch?
Any online lessons?
Classes I have to take?

Been thinking about picking one up. Are they any good? I know that all they really do is just track fitness habits and shit and most people just use them to set personal goals and whatnot, and I've been thinking about getting a smartwatch for similar reasons but I want something more ruggedized. Depends, Live's built in synth Operator is incredibly powerful for how simple it is. reFX Nexus2 has shitloads of presets that I can fuck with.
I've been doing this for 7 years and have no reason to stop even though I suck and will never be big. I do it for myself.

as for hardware, I got literally everything second hand
an "e-mu xboard49", which is actually really nice considering I had never heard of the brand before my friend gave it to me
an M-audio keystation mini 32. The keys feel like pressing the broad side of a butter knife into a wet sponge but it gets the job done on the go
and then I got a launchpad. I honestly have no idea what the hype is, I've used it like twice.

If you can't figure out how to dual boot windows with debian then you should use Ubuntu first
READ: USE UBUNTU. Once you experience linux, then install other distros.
As for a guide, search up /flt/ on /g/ for le friendly linux thread, they'll help you.
